So when we were introduced to Harley, she is said to be 'accomplice to the murder of Robin' which basically and literally means that she was already Harley Quinn when the murder happened.
But Joker already had his grills when Joker turned Harleen into 'Harley', David Ayer literally confirms that Joker had the grills BECAUSE batman beat the beep out of him so bad that he needed the grills;This is sort of my personal thing and maybe less about a larger connection. But Joker killed Robin and Batman basically smashes his teeth out and locks him up in Arkham Asylum, Ayer explained. Its in the asylum where Joker would have done the damaged tattoo as a message to Batman saying, Youve damaged me. I was so beautiful before and now youve destroyed my face. Thats where the grill comes from.
So Joker was sent to Arkham Asylum AFTER he killed Robin and only met Harley AFTER Robin was killed, so Harley couldnt have been an accomplice to Robin's murder -

I'd heard that Joker's grill was thanks to Batman but not the reason that Batman did it. If that's right then yep, can't argue with it - good point.

Ayer didn't understand the plotline of his own movie, how can he know of a plot that is outside the movie.
Let him fix the several holes that are in the movie first.

David Ayer also said Harley gave Joker the "Damaged" head tat on Twitter, however he definitely has it while she is still Dr Harleen Quinzel so was she tattooing her patients or nah?
