I'm not saying it's this absolute disaster, but it was dumb and not very entertaining. I'll give it another shot, but it wasn't much fun the first time. Maybe it was just the director.
But Beall also wrote JL: Mortal, and that was a script I did not like.

Watch Gangster squad, then watch L.A. confidential and continue thinking gangster squad is a garbage movie.
I hontestly feel Justice league was going to be more optimistic. The story so far seems to be about dark times before our heroes become who we all know and love. Batman is full of hatred. The world fears and questions superman and Wonder Woman has turned her back against humanity.
The film ends with superman accepting the good and bad about his existence. Batman feels remorse for his actions. Wonder woman shows up and it's insinuated she is on track to help Bruce Wayne find other meta humans.
With the movies being more fun, i just hope they keep the scope of Steppenwolf and Darksied threat realistic. I like the gravitas that Snyder brings to the situational sincerity that life and death are on the line. Superman can't jokingly punch Batman during an invasion fight like Hulk and Thor. They're not worried about what they're going to eat after the battle. There's no time for that. The threat is too real.

Okay, JL:Mortal was bad. Like, really bad.

I must say that i found all writer for DCEU underwhelming so far.
But, and thats what i allways think about when looking at directors, writers and also actors.
It is very much possible, that you, in this case as a writer, dont get the chance to write within your comfort zone all the time.
There are directors and writers that wrote/directed sh!t and after that, they went for an oscar or vice versa (Akiva Goldsman anyone?)
What im trying to say is: Maybe this guy cant write a gangster movie, but is passionate about Comic books.
Also: Goyer might be a terrible writer, but he was good enough to work with Nolan.
I think a big part of the quality of the script is how writer/director work out together.
Snyder/Goyer doesnt it seems, and Ayer on its own doesnt either.
But i sure understand the worries with a writer like this.
Wasnt the writer of "Pan" at one point part of the Wonder Woman Movie? Hes not listed anymore, but something tells me he was.

he was, then he got booted and then Wonder Woman has like 4 writers i think. I know the story is by Zack or at least that's how they phrased it (ie the ideas are his but the fine tuning of those ideas is in someone else's hands).
IMDB taught me: cynicism is praised. optimism must be stamped out wherever it can be found.

Passion only takes you so far, because comprehension comes first. Again, maybe Beall loves the JL, but that JL: Mortal script wasn't very good..like at all.
And Goyer, yup he's not a strong writer, even when he was on the dark knight trilogy Nolan and his brother went over those scripts, however Goyer knows which elements can translate to screen, how to modify a story or character for film.
WB can make great films, but they look too in-house for their screenwriters. I'm going to give Terrio another shot, well because we kinda have to..but also because this is his script from top to bottom.

Well not everything has to be sombre, because not every character or story calls for it, but yeah there was a massive tonal shift between BvS and SS, but then again we still have WW which seems to have a serious tone.
And if they go full Fast and Furious..I'll leave since I dislike the franchise.

If they go for a F&F style of movies for DCEU, then it's good for the general audience because they will buy it. For DC fans, we're probably going to feel very alienated that DC is becoming more about style than substance. To quote one legendary villain about the mindset of WB: ''All you care about is money''
