It was a crappy version of Expendables. Expendables was atleast cheesy intentionally and was making fun of itself. Suicide Squad actually thought it was being cool and evolutionary to the genre.
That's a good way of putting it.

The sad thing is that something this bad keeps making money.

I imagine his job was made all the more difficult by having to leave out chunks of scenes/clips.

A handful of good performances can't overcome messy plotting, an obnoxious soundtrack and terrible villains.

Haven't seen the movie but those complaining about the RT rating don't have much to say about fan reviews aligning with it. The bad word of mouth will cause this movie to drop big time after the presale tickets are accounted for

Yeah, that's what I've found ironic, too. There's been a heavy backlash against the critics, with the notion that the fans have got what they wanted (and that's all that matters).
But that's not entirely true. Plenty of fans have called this movie out for being the disappointment it is. They agree with the critics.

                    Exactly.
I really wanted this movie to succeed, but the truth is, it's regular film goers who are making the harshest, albeit presumably fairest, criticisms of this movie. Not simply the professional critics.

Finally, someone else who actually liked BvS. I was so looking forward to this movie. I thought it was gonna be much darker and more psychologically terrifying.

BvS, for me, was brilliant. I don't quite understand the hate it gets. The plot was somewhat okay, but Affleck's portrayal as Wayne/Bat really did elevate the overall film. Those fight scenes were incredible. I enjoyed every second of them.

Yeah, BvS was pretty good. I don't get the hate either - even if the movie doesn't work with someone, they should at least be able to respect the things it does well. Have we ever had better better Batman fight scenes? A Superman that feels appropriately powerful?
Different people have different opinions naturally, but it's hard to see how people could objectively think it's a terrible movie. And it's RT score is below Batman Forever, which is nuts.

I agree with almost everything you said. It was a disappointment after being hyped up so much. It's the complete opposite of Ghostbusters.
Ghostbusters got bad hype, but actually turned out to be good.

Why "hate to admit it"??? Real fans know that the only way to stop getting more trash is to tell the truth and not support these bad movies.

Because I had really high hopes for SS and I myself was hyping it up to my friends. Really wanted this, and the other DC movies, to work.

Pretty much agree with a lot of things you said relating to a lack of structure, Harley Quinn's shananigans getting tiresome, feeling like it wasn't the original movie, etc.
My biggest complaints have to be how they completely missed an opportunity to dress Harley Quinn in the same outfit she was in the animated series. Yes they had that one breif flashback with her wearing the costume dancing with the Joker, but it looked so cool like that! It should have been her "war" outfit or something and worn through out most of the film. She had no disguise. I feel like her look was so lazy. Looked like she bought pink and blue manic hair dye, a fishnet legging and a studded belt from Hot Topic and called it a day.. Wasted opportunity in my opinion because for me the accent and personality (for the MOST part) was there.
Killer Croc. "Not me homie, I'm beautiful." Seriously..? Enough said. I cringed so hard at that.
There were way too many characters. The Enhantress stuff was way over the top and I didn't even realize she was the biggest threat until the end. As someone said it felt like a zombie movie.
Some of the flashbacks were quite confusing too.
And I don't know if it's just an opinion or it makes the film bad but Amanda was a very bad person so there really is no good person to root for. Okay rant over.

Yes, I found that quite odd, too. Harley Quinn's costume, or her black-red combo at least, is very well known. Instead of looking like a slutty cheerleader, it would have been better to put her in a battered/worn body suit of some sort that still maintained the sexiness they wanted. However, after doing a bit of research, it appears as though they modelled her after the latter adaptation (52 version) of the character. In that she adopts the blue-red combo and shorts, etc.
As for Amanda, lol, she was more of a villain than the actual enchantress. I guess they made her that way to force us to root for the Suicide Squad a bit more? Who knows.
