Season 2 was pretty bad…

All in all, I'd say Season 2 was pretty satisfying. The Punisher episodes are of course the highlight of the entire Season. Everything involving Elektra and the Hand were just sort of okay.

I can tolerate personal opinions, but Luke Cage having more replay value than DD2 blows me away. My god, I would rather watch the last seasons of Lost than to witness "Shades" & the Claire+Cage horrible chemistry.

Sometimes when a first season of a show is so good, the second season is compared to it and some are let down. The standard was just set too high. IMO, that's what happened with Daredevil. Season one was a thing of beauty. Season two was very good, but just not at the same level and some were let down and look at it harsher than they should.
And I agree with you about Luke Cage. Not only do I never want to watch it again, I couldn't get through it the first time. Hope I didn't miss anything integral to Defenders or another of the Netflix shows by not finishing it. -

You have to understand that not every Marvel show is going to be for every audience. -

I understand that.
Thing is, I'm a fan of Luke Cage, just not of how they did the show. For me, part of the fun of comic book series are the villains. In Daredevil, you had Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. In Jessica Jones you have David Tennant as Purple Man. These were great villains. The show Luke Cage, for me, didn't have any interesting villains or rather the way they were presented in the show made them uninteresting. -

Well, maybe a superpowered Diamondback will be a bit more formidable a foe.. -

Season 2 is a masterpiece.
Theres more going on, its more brutal/violent, its darker, more fight scenes and more drama..
Murdock's duty as Daredevil causes friction with his job and friends..
And Frank Castle is a badass! -

I actually think the first season of Jessica jones is my fave Netflix marvel show ever.
Ironically, the opposite was true for me. I enjoyed DD season one, outside of Vince whom I started skipping as much as I could (god, his chief henchmen was a more compelling character, and better acted, then Kingpin). So I looked forward to watching JJ.
3 episodes in, I couldn't handle it anymore. I thought the casting was great, and the idea sound, but the story was just so rancid. Every single person was beyond miserable, and got more miserable as time went on, which made it miserable to watch. But I didn't want to skip it for fear of missing some tie in. So i took about 9 months to finally force myself to finish it, and it was so horrible. It somehow got progressively worse and left such a bad taste in my mouth, I held off on watching Season 2 of Daredevil until a few weeks ago (and finished the last 4 eps today). Thankfully, aside from the painful Kingpin episode, it redeemed the tv MCU and I'm now looking forward to watching Luke Cage when I get some time.
