And before calling me a racist, move along.. Unless you are ok with me making a movie about Marthin Lurther King as a white man, or a Biography of Morgan Freeman using a white actor to portray him.
When Oprah dies, I will also film a movie about her, using a fat white chick. Let's see black people riot all day after these movies.
And "Homecoming" ??? Who is the idiot behind this movie? Some people shouldnt be given money to make movies, just saying. DAMN! -

It was never even confirmed that the actress would be playing Mary Jane. It was a big rumor and all, but not confirmed. I think her character's name is listed as "Michelle" in most places now.
Its amazing how people hang around message boards of movies they dont like -

That isn't Mary Jane, it's Michelle. Liz Allan is black though, unfortunately. This movie does have a forced PC agenda and racial diversity just for the sake of it, which is annoying as hell.

MJ is a fictional character. There's always been artistic license to change fictional characters over time, even by the creators of such characters. Sometimes they change race, sometimes even gender. Comparing this to using an actor/actress of another ethicity to protray a real person is apples and oranges. You won't see a black man protraying George Bush in his autobiography. trust me. Use a little common sense. btware we even sure that she is playing MJ?

Does it bother you when characters of colour are played by white actors? Or do you just support the double standard and say "race doesn't matter. It's just a movie. Best actor for the part."

This post is so ironic, it's funny. Like, I can barely even restrain myself from explaining what is so silly about this statement.
No need to be a priggish a$$hole about it. Did I touch a nerve sweetie?
