I was merely commenting that it's incredibly funny that you make a "joke" about someone being late to the party with their outrage, but your post is late to the party in replying to that post (check the timestamps).

Fantastic Four 2015 was bad. But not because Human Torch was black. I don't know if we'll ever get a good Fantastic Four movie. The Incredibles doesn't count.

Here it feels like they wanted a Miles movie more than Peter. I would have preferred had they left Peter Parker alone & just use Miles & ignore Peters involvement in that.
^Therein lies the big problem. could you imagine the sh!tstorm fans would put up if they used Miles instead of Peter this time? They can't even accept the IDEA that Mary Jane may or may not be portrayed by a biracial actress, all hell would break loose if this had been a Miles Morales-led film instead of yet another go-around with Peter Parker.

For the comic books, females are assuming the role of Thor, Wolverine, Iron Man. As much as I'd hate to use the term but there is an agenda there.
For the movie, (and I know Michelle is not MJ) haveing a black girl play MJ is a non-event, it's 2017. The point being addressed by most in here may be "Does the director feel he needs diversity". That we may never know.

KIDS know who Miles is thanks to the cartoon. That's what counts on that front.
