I never saw the death of Superman coming.
But then again I don't follow Comics.
Finally something unpredictable happened in a Superhero movie

But it was based off source material. Just because you didn't read it doean't make it unpredictable. If you made a movie of the life and death of Jesus and someone didn't read the Bible and was surprised by the crucifixion, that doesn't make the movie "unpredictable".
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way comparing the Death of Superman comics to the Bible or the character of Superman to Christ. Which obviously means I do not work for WB, since that's ALL they want to do.

I don't read comics either but Doomsday killing Superman was well known beyond the comic book run I even remember it being on the news (lol) and the BBC did a radio play on it. So Superman death was not unpredictable it was just that you had manage to avoid any of the source material and news at the time. It could have been a surprise though but sadly they showed Doomsday during the trailer so that gave it away for a lot of people.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock

It was 100% predictable. And Superman isn't dead.

Unpredictable? People were calling the "death" of superman the second they showed doomsday in the trailer.
We must have very different definitions of "unpredictable"

Thanks to Batmeh v Supermeh Yawn of Justice, the "S" now stands for Sidekick
