Don't get me wrong, I really like this show, and maybe it's just my imagination, but this version of The Batman sure seems to get his butt kicked, a lot.

The reason he smiles is because this show is aimed at children unlike the batman animated series which is aimed at all ages the reason batmans enimes beat him up so much was because al lthe characters were retold here to all be expert fighters like batman
