New Mutants has aliens in it, so was Apocalypse's technology alien?

Until we see the movie we don't know if Warlock will be an alien or if Lockheed will be in it. Or if they just make him a mutant cat. They could go weird and make Warlock a mutant computer program that goes sentient with nanobots. They'd do that just to keep it partially grounded.

I don't know if you've noticed, but these films prefer to remain grounded to a certain extent. There is no indication that anything in this film is of alien origin. Apocalypse's "technology" is just an extension of his rather convenient and seemingly random mutant abilities (manipulating matter/energy).
The idea of aliens and alien technology is just too far outside of Singer's and Kinberg's comfort zone. Therefore, things like the Shi'Ar, Starjammers, Cosmic Phoenix, Mojo, Phalanx, Brood, etc. will most likely never see the light of day on film. -

Not confirmed. Just because it's in a storyboard or concept art doesn't mean it will make it into the finished product.
It isn't confirmed either that Frank Darabont is directing Gambit. You guys need to wait for some official news on these things instead of getting your hopes up on rumors and unconfirmed reports. -

Yeah I agree with all of that Pussy_Monster, and some of the concept art for
X-Men Apocalypse
showed Apocalypse with an alien vessel as well.
That golden capstone might not be alien, but it definitely was not constructed by Apocalypse. It could be from the future, or from Limbo or the Mojoverse or another dimension, but I think they will ultimately reveal it to be of alien origin.
And speaking of the Mojoverse, I never thought I'd say this but there's a fair possibility that we'll see it in the movies now that they're saying that
The New Mutants
are going to get a trilogy (it featured prominently and primarily in The New Mutants comics). How crazy would that be? I can see it happening, if the whole trilogy isn't all about Limbo and all of the various demon/magic story arcs from there (and even then they may make one of the pocket dimensions of Limbo the Mojoverse). -

This isn't the first time something Singer said and/or story-boarded did not make it into the finished product. If it isn't in the film, it isn't canon.
The golden pyramid top that harnesses sunlight for energy could have easily been something Apocalypse created to aid with the transference of his being. The film shows that he is able to manipulate matter. Furthermore, his complete power set is never made clear seeing as how he can basically do anything the script calls for at a moment's notice.
Based on what is shown in the film, it's not explained or made clear that there is any alien influence behind his technology or abilities. You and others trying to justify it as such is nothing more than you filling in the holes with your own conclusions and fan-fiction to make up for Singer's/Kinberg's lazy storytelling.
Seeing as how Apocalypse is now dead, along with the film failing to live up to expectations and Singer exiting the franchise, it'll most likely never receive any follow-up. -

Oh, the hints were there. Like the visions between Jean and Apocalypse were sharing. Jean having a mysterious "dark power". Which were hints the comics gave.

Lazy storytelling? Even in the comic Apocalypse wasn't revealed right away
