This is a different Vixen played by a completelt different actress. I guess all black people look alike, huh?
Dude, the thread starter is black. Why are you suggesting he's being racist to black people? Sure, there are black people who hate black people, but he's clearly pro-black because he doesn't like what he perceived as the writers ignoring the Mari McCabe character's previous story when this is her grandmother Amaya Jiwe as Vixen.
He already said that the actors are different so he knows they don't look the same. What were to trying to do? -

The LoT Vixen is the grandmother of the 2016 Vixen. She was born in Africa and moved to the U.S. when she was recruited for the Justice Society. The Vixen that was on Arrow and had her own mini-series is inherited the necklace from her.

Arrowverse
Megalyn Echikunwoke as the titular character in the animated web-series and in its sister television series Arrow.
Main article: Vixen (web series)
In January 2015, The CW announced that an animated web-series origin story centered on Vixen would be debuting on CW Seed in autumn 2015. It set in the same universe of sibling The CW series Arrow and The Flash. The series is mainly set in Detroit, Michigan, with a few crossovers with the other Arrowverse shows; and if successful might lead to a live-action adaptation. Mari McCabe / Vixen was voiced by Megalyn Echikunwoke.
Echikunwoke reprised her role as Mari McCabe / Vixen in the Arrow season four episode "Taken". It is revealed that Mari has become an experienced vigilante with extensive knowledge of mysticism. Echikunwoke has said there is potential for her to have a live-action spin-off series.
Mari McCabe's grandmother, Amaya Jiwe, appears as a series regular in the second season of Legends of Tomorrow, portrayed by Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Echikunwoke could not reprise as Mari due to previous commitments, with the Amaya character appearing as an ancestor who took on the title of Vixen before Mari. -

Yeah they basically came up with a way to have the character 'vixen' become a part of the Legends without being able to have the same actress. Same family line, same powers, rather then just have the new actress be the same character like when Mary Alice came in to play the Oracle in the third Matrix movie. And now with remembrance to Gloria Foster, I eat a piece of candy.

As has been explained, Amaya is the grandma of Mari , the Tantu totem which is a family heirloom, has been handed down through the females in their family for close to a thousand years.
It was created (by the sky god Nyame and handed to Ananse to enable Tantu the first) to channel the "ashe" spirits of any living or dead animal through the "Red", the earth's morphogenic field.
Hope that helps. -

My problem is with the "Vixen" name. The JSA character is named Vixen, but in the webseries is Cisco who named the new superheroine. Coincidence?
Sorry if my linguistic skills aren't good enough. English is not my first language.
