Rocket continues denying reality in the other thread. He insist that only 5 million of the 77 million American gun owners would resist an attempt to circumvent the 2nd amendment. This despite the fact that over 62 million voted for Trump. He under estimates America.

It is outdated, and even conservatives will agree. When it was written, "arms" meant simply a musket. "Arms" can mean much more today. A rocket launcher or a nuclear weapon could be considered arms, but nearly everyone would agree those should not be allowed to be owned on an individual level. This is why as technology has developed, the courts have had to update the reach of the second amendment to apply to modern times.

What you Conservatives refuse to acknowledge is the fact that you will not allow Guns of any kind to be taken off of the streets regardless of the reasons and regardless of what happens.
When it comes to Gun Violence in this country, Your side cares more about keeping the Guns than solving the problem.
When it comes to my side, You God Damn Right my side focuses more on the means than the cause and that is because we are intelligent enough to know that those weapons should not even be out in the Public for those who are sick to actually buy and get they're hands on. Those weapons need to be taken off of the streets and we need much Stronger Gun Laws here in this country. If we don't then people who are sick will still be able to buy and get they're hands on those weapons. -

If you were even HALF as clever as you think you are you'd address the cause because that is how basically ALL problems are solved. Back-assward will not work. If someone wants to cause harm and you take the easy means they will just switch means. Cars, bombs, knives, poison, arson, etc. You won't have fixed a ****ing thing and in the mean time you deprived thousands of law abiding people of their rights. Because you were too lazy to fix the problem the correct way. Good job.Not!
