Why such a rude douche to Supergirl?

Mick wasn't a douche, he was blunt.
Not quite sure I buy what they were going for with Oliver though. Probably his Batman-lite bleeding through again.
You're suffering from delusions of adequacy.

I dont know. I think Batman would have used Supergirl as an advantage. Oliver just seemed selfish like he didn't want her contributing too much because he felt inferior. The thing that bugs me about Oliver is that he acts like hes been a superhero for the last 20 years. I bet if he met the JSA with the Legends he would have tried to tell them what to do also. other then that I really like Oliver.

I think the writers were in a bind on how to have someone with Supergirl level superpowers and now have her mop up all the Dominators in one fell swoop. To include her, and then have all the storyline stretching over 4 episodes the way they did would have made Supergirl even more lamer than they've already made her.
They have her doing way too much Karaesque hand-wringing in her Supergirl costume. It renders her silly.
Oliver's distrust or whatever was clearly a plot device to keep SG out of the battles lest they end up weakening SGs prowess. Plus, Oliver doesn't trust easily and he only recently met her. Oliver doesn't trust anyone he can't bang, except for Diggle (and by association Layla) and of course his own sister. -

The above poster is correct Supergirl was left out of the action in places for the sake of plot. Anyone with Supergirls power set would make short work of the Dominators. Realistically, and this is true for comics as well. Having a Superman level hero would make any non-super, non-magical, non-super genius obsolete. In this case team "Arrow" and at least half of the "legends" group. When you have Kryptonians on a team they either, A. Have to be written below their abilities or, B. Have to be written out. Was I the only one who questioned why Supergirl didn't use super speed to save the presidents life?.

Well, it's not out of character for at least two of them. I did feel Kara was somewhat out of character at times, since she can be a little bit of a hothead when she's Supergirl. I guess because she was the new kid, she didn't want to make too much waves.
