Why were the aliens pissed at Barry?

No, I'm simply not a bad writing apologist. If they are simply going to kill the metas why bother with the Barry nonsense. The writers wanted to give Barry a redemption arc, but it was unearned and silly.

Maybe? I expect the writers to tell a logical, complete story. I am not satisfied by viewers explaining "maybe" this is the reason why. Human and Dominator physiology is nothing alike.

Wait, so Sopranos, Mad Men, Game of Thrones, and Breaking Bad ALWAYS filled in ALL the blanks for you? No. Hell, not even All in the Family or MASH or Maude. Not even the classic sit-coms! We never DID find out what Elaine wanted to tell Jerry on that almost-plane-crash.

The thing is, Barry is the only time travelling meta they knew of originally. Hence, if the meta bomb had a successful detonation and Barry managed to run away fast enough from the blast radius, he could have gone back in time and come up with a better way to stop the meta bomb, like have Supergirl take the meta bomb and throw it into outer space or better yet the Dominators' spaceship.

I never really thought the Dominators cared about humans or what happened to Earth - kind of like a human caring as much as what happens inside of an ant colony.
I interpreted it as the aliens saw Barry - someone with the ability to alter the timeline and change the course of events - as a threat. If Barry could do damage on Earth with Flashpoint then what if he traveled to another Earth and went back in time changing history there?
I felt that the Dominators were threatened by what Barry, or someone like him with similar abilities, could do in damage on other worlds maybe even on their own world. -

How would a planet with no ability to travel throughout the galaxy pose a threat to whatever planet the Dominators were from. It's apparent Barry's mechinations only effect Earth 1. He could actually send 2016 Earth to the ice age and it would have zero effect on any place other than Earth.
Berlanti writers have alway been sloppy. Why would we expect a three part story not to reflect that?

The ability to time travel could be useful not only to the Dominators, but to their enemies. Imagine going back far enough in time to kill them when they were still primative beings millions of years ago. And even changing the timeline on Earth could impact the cosmic future, assuming the Dominators know somehow that humans will leave the planet. Or maybe already HAVE left the planet/solar system.
Meta humans with abilities like time travel going to the stars WOULD someday pose a threat to other worlds. I mean, have you ever READ a comic book?
The only thing sloppy is your imagination.

It's kind of like how in last year's crossover, Vandal Savage killed everyone in Central City and Barry managed to prevent that because he can time travel. So, Vandal Savage won but not really.
