Do the female characters in this film get hurt?

How is that rather patronising view a 'rational argument'?
A female superhero/villain who fights and gets into violent situations is likely to take a hit once in a while. Same way
any
male hero/villain would. That's equality in that actual sense of the word. As a woman, myself, I like to see the characters of my gender in this genre portrayed in a way that doesn't treat them with kid gloves because they have vaginas.- Another textbook sociopath -

So "equality in the actual sense of the word", is people getting beaten up an equal amount?
Nice attempt at cherry picking my words, but I explained in my post quite clearly I was referring to superhero/villain characters in action films.
The sarcasm could use some work, though.- Another textbook sociopath -

@Fluffis you're an idiot my friend ! lol so it's okay for a guy to get beaten the crap out of him but it's not okay for women ? shut up please, equality is EXACLY that ! women want equality ? then they should be treated exacly like men are. stupid moron.

In the real world, bullets wouldn't curve around women and fists wouldn't pass through them magically like they were a mist. In dangerous situations, why would they be exempt from harm?
Just go and watch Tomb Raider. Your PC sensitivities do nothing for anyone. -

It's like an unspoken rule women and children never get hurt.
Yeah sure that's why in reality children never get hurt or die before they become adults. Hollywood doesn't have the guts to show a kid being killed on screen anymore. For fear of losing money all studio executives and producers became a bunch of sissies. -

Is this another Hollyweird film packed with subtle or overt political correctness and affirmative action, where girls go around kicking ass and despite being up against a stronger male and more obvious adversary, they manage to beat him up because they can throw punches but all he does is block and push them down? Like some super hero version of a real life domestic violence situation?
In short, am I going to see an action film where people equally( in the name of equality), punch each other in the face? Or do all the girls get to keep their pretty faces while only the men get knuckle sandwiches or die in some gruesome way?
OMG, look at this cuck getting triggered because there are tough female characters in a comic book movie.
Probably got beaten up by too many chicks in highschool LOL

Actually
Harley Quinn getting punched in the face and K.O.'d by Batman is probably the single, best moment in the film.
Not because "Yay, violence against women!!" but because it was unexpected, hilarious, and she absolutely deserved it.

It was actually censored to be a lot more PC. All abuse between Harley and The Joker was deleted in the final cut of the film to make their relationship seem more loving rather than insane and codependent.
Other than that it isn't too bad with the way it treats the female characters, as in they seem to be in as much danger as the men. -

If you hadn't guessed it by the replies, yes. This movie does cater to people who like seeing women take a beating.
In fact, quite a few of the threats and beatings are played for laughs.

This movie does cater to people who like seeing women take a beating.
In a film where the lead villain is a super powerful woman, and two of the most useful, badass members of the Squad are women - one of whom being the character who defeats the lead villain, and could arguably be considered the main character - this 'view' is laughable, to say the least. And none of the women are 'beaten' - they just didn't get special treatment because of their gender and were playing on a level field with the male characters.
In fact, quite a few of the threats and beatings are played for laughs.
Happens with male characters
all
the time. Double standards doesn't encourage equality.- Another textbook sociopath -
