Why does Steele have a costume? I can see 4 purposes of when he can't steele-up, i.e. getting kicked-around & stabbed by a Samurai. Or 4 the practical reason of destroying his civies everytime he steeles-up, from bullets, fire, impacting, etc. Does it shoot lasers? If it's an exoskeleton, it takes from his powers and appearance.

Purely aesthic and mental pleasure. He was excited about being a superhero so Ray gifted him a superhero costume. Superman doesn't need a costume either. Nor do most of the "indestructable" heroes.
      Put LeVar Burton on Money

RightfulFireLordIron; Does Luvar Burton direct some/many of these eps.? My best guess 4 the new dudes is $! They don't have 2 CGI Dr. Nate Heywood's upper-body, arms, hands and hair/ears/neck. With the exosuit, only his face.

          1. His skin isn't always steel, if he's going to go into possible hostile situations, I'd say that a armored suit is a pretty good idea.
          2. It's Steel, not Steele.

krypton_son; Yes but when Heywood (Hank in the 1980's comics) steels-up, even 4 the briefest moment, its a CGI nightmare 4 the producers!
