I am always amazed at the people out there who have never heard of someone or something. This black kid in my class had never heard of Johnny Cash before. A few people I've talked to didn't to didn't know who Edward Snowden is. Someone on here had never heard of Blake Lively until the Shallows came out. Someone had never heard of Rihanna until the Valerine trailer came out. Someone else didn't know who Michael Fassbender was. A guy I used to talk to didn't know who The Doors were and had never heard of the movie Boogie Nights before. One of my friends had never heard of the movie The Drop. Another friend had never heard of Sicario before. A couple people I've talked to at work didn't know who Roger Ebert was. A couple of people had never heard of Paul Walker before. Someone didn't know who Chris Pratt was. A guy I worked with had never heard of Tony Scott until he died.
Are people just out of touch or what? -

Few months back I was finishing high school, and there was this girl, a 18-year-old, who mostly had A's. I asked her once to place John Lennon in a time period: with a stupid smile, she mentioned the 18th century Sometimes later, I asked the same girl to place World War II in a decade. I told her that it isn't a big deal if she doesn't know the exact years, so she gave it a try this time, she mentioned the 60s. Let us all remember that Adolf Hitler was a hippie!
Not sure how 18-year-old people can live in today's era and not know when WWII happened. -

It's the ultimate irony of our age where social media is so capable yet people remain so incredibly misinformed or ignorant. How else do you end up with President Trump?
