That's by suspending a lot of disbelief and not stare into the plot holes. Now I know these kinds of suggestions have been put out on IMDB boards before and for certain people this simply won't work.
"Why do I have to take myself down to crap levels just to enjoy a crap show?" Well, humor me a little bit 🙂
If you treat this show like you're watching Power Rangers, you're going to enjoy it quite a bit more. The action scenes and period piece mishmash (like civil war and zombies) keep the show fresh. The idea of using reckless outlaws to fix time in itself defies logic on so many levels, but makes for a good time!
Allowing these vast liberties makes it so Legends actually is a show I sometimes enjoy more (based on my mood) than a dark and dismal Arrow episode, or watching the Flash speed himself in a circle making the same run at yet another speedster.
But if you rename this to Power Rangers in Time, you'll see the lighter side of Legends. Try it!

Never watched power rangers. But if this shows entire premise was not them fixing time while doing everything the can to be labeled keystone time lords it could be possible. But pretending these people where a good choice to go after Savage was insane, any team of soldiers could have dropped him and imprisoned him in the first episode. I do not blame the actors but it is hard to enjoy a show where the writers think they can throw anything at us and we will just take it. Basically we are the abused audience.
