That was awesome. Supergirl seeing Hank Henshaw, so cool. I'm loving MM in this episode too, he's gonna flip out when he realizes the truth though.

I'm glad to finally see Cyborg Superman in something other than the comics. I hope he goes full on cyborg at some point and gets his own Superman costume.

Now that Henshaw is part Cyborg and is in the Fortress of Solitude, in theory he has literally everything he needs to become fully the Cyborg Superman.
Also, was I the only one that thought they were going to use Kara's blood along with Lex Luthor's to try to clone and grow a Connor Kent?

Except this isn't cyborg superman, when he meets kara he has no reason to say this. This is a really wtf reimagined version of Hank Henshaw, he's a cyborg (The name he takes when he's done pretending to be supes), I'd have no problem with them calling him the Cyborg, that would make sense. He hasn't shown he's got any kryptonian biology when he's fighting kara, he doesn't look like at all like superman.
No point trying to show mercy to the stupid, they wouldn't know what to do with it anyway

These writers feel they need to spell things out for us even when it makes no sense. He calls himself Cyborg Superman why? Because the comics. Just dumb.

Its funny they keep piece grabbing from the comics as some sort of weird homage fanservice but its like they either dont even read the comics or dont care at all about fuggin them up 😛

I thought that was awkward, especially as part of an anti-alien group, but I'm guessing they needed to avoid calling him Cyborg without the Superman.

If they "had" to name him there is always The Eradicator.

Well, they could've just called him Hank Henshaw for the time being, but they boxed themselves in by already using that, so probably wanted to avoid confusion among viewers (not everyone sees every episode, after all).
And I'm guessing they have plans for the Eradicator. After all, no Kryptonian stone remains unturned.
Still, they could have found a more reasonable way to do it. Even having Wynn or someone else nickname him that rather than him naming himself would have made more sense.

Why would Winn naming him Cyborg Superman have been better? He has not been shown to have any of Superman's identifying characteristics. He doesn't look like him. Doesn't wear his attire. Wasn't shown to have share any powers other the super strength. Winn could name Snapper Elastic Lad and it'd make no less sense.

Agreed the name makes little sense in the context, but an anti-alien group member naming himself after a famous alien was the worst of it, if you ask me. That's why I said 'Even' someone else nicknaming him that would make
                          more
sense. They'd still need to make it line up.

Pretty much. In the comics the part of him that looks human, looks like Superman; this was done rather poorly. He's not called "Cyborg Superman" for beep and giggles, the original Cyborg Superman wasn't even meant to look like Hank Henshaw, the person he would actually turn out to be. He was someone claiming to be Superman when Superman was dead, reincarnated in a cyborg body; only to turn out to possess the consciousness of someone much more malevolent and psychologically broken.
After the New 52, the core identity of the Cyborg Superman was changed in a pretty radical way; it was the heavily modified and "improved" remains of Zor-El, enslaved by Brainiac. He's been so heavily reengineered, that he doesn't look like himself anymore, but more like a younger version of his brother Jor-El, with a passing resemblance to Jor-El's son, Kal-El, aka Superman. But he doesn't know his true origins, only that he was once fully Kyrptonian, and many of his memories are damaged or suppressed by his programming. He worked out a way to restore himself by tricking Supergirl to go through a process that would effectively end her life, and channel her life force, or some such McGuffin, into him - at which point he remembered who he truly was, and whom he just sacrificed. He of course ultimately reversed the process, bringing Kara back to life.
That might have been a better way to go, than having it be the Hank Henshaw; and him just calling himself "Cyborg Superman" because. reasons.
He lied to us through song! I hate when people do that."

These writers and those of the Flash as well have shown the inability to adapt comic storylines. They either don't have all the characters, the budget, and most importantly a refusal to do multi-episode arcs. Flashpoint could have lasted three episodes and SG's The Girl that Has Everything should have been two. It's just rush, rush, rush.

Having him say it like that was rather cringe-worthy.
So much, in fact, I almost felt the actor was cringing too. I wonder how many takes they had to do. If it was under five, the man deserves a medal.
