Not every black-white child is light-skinned, that's not how genetics works.

the guy who wrote that article is not a scientist and doesn't know much more about genetics than u and i. i have friends who arebi-racial who looks like they're just black and light skinned that's true.
Anyway i think they made a mistake by casting a non bi-racial actor as john'sson and course corrected it with flashpoint by casting boy who looks Lyla adoptive son post flash point arrow
By the way the flashpoint thing on arrow wasn't usefull at all -

The picture in the article should have been enough to disprove your belief that a biracial person always looks mixed.
You don't have to "know" genetics to look at the offspring of a dark person and a light person and ascertain the child is dark. People are not paint where mixing two colors in the exact same percentage results in an identical color every time.
A biracial pair can have multiple children and one child can be dark, another pale, and another right in the middle.
That's not Lyla's adoptive son.

Nowhere does it mention that it's not Lyla's son.

when i saw that episode of legend i was thinking there was an alternative timeline where john didn't marry Lyla.
for me this kid is not Lyla's, they might have adopted him or something he is not bi-racial so it not her's! -

I work in an office wherein 3 co-workers in the last 4 years were/are White Women, with a fondness for Black men
between them, they now have 9? bi Racial children No two of them have the same complexion, and range from 'Fresh off the Boat' to pass for white -

explain
'Fresh off the Boat'
even the darkest bi-racial kid always is lighter than the average black person
anyway the fact that biggest thing the flashpoint paradox has brought to arrow was changing light skinned sarah into dark skinned john jr is proof that it was not usefull but i guess on flash it totally makes sense
but it seems to me it's like the writers are just enjoying themselves 'wow we did the flashpoint paradox on tv" i invite anyone to watch the animated version on netflix or to read the comic books it's amazing
