I honestly haven't missed him so far. He was a bit of a insufferable hypocrite in season 1. I do think he will better this season since the Savage plot is done with.

canary is a terrible leader though. They have written the entire team to have the mental fortitude of an 8 year old. Rip could had least make some logical decisions.

When he has a contract, he can't just run away from it. I guess they would not think, it would have a second season.

He actually started Broadchurch a year before LOT, so it takes priority over this (just like LOT takes priority over the Prison Break reboot).
I watch all 3 shows, so it matters nothing to me.

They haven't got rid of him, he's still very much part of the show. But as you suggest, his existing commitment to Broadchurch got in the way of filming LOT. So LOT wrote him out for a set of episodes. From other posts on here I gather that he's already been seen back on set. He will be back.

It makes perfect sense that Hunter would have sent himself to Jonah Hex's time. That was the one period in history where he wanted to stay but couldn't because he was a Time Master.

Yes. But we all though he was gone. And I was super irritated by that. Because he was in my top 4.
But now the Captain is back, and the show will go on

I miss him as well. He is the reason i started watching Legends. I have seen a photo of him on set so hoping he will be back soon.
Tim Curry my all time favorite actor. Would love to marry Elijah Wood & Karl Urban.

I miss Rip Hunter. The actor playing him is one of the reasons why I started watching the show.
