Additionally, Superman didn't help matters by shoving Batman 50 feet, plowing him through the side of a building, hurling him into the Bat-Signal, and threatening him with death. He handled the whole situation as badly as Batman did, if not worse. All it took was grabbing Batman's arms so he couldn't move and explaining what Lex was doing. But I chalk that up to Snyder logic: common sense doesn't matter to him, because that just doesn't look cool.

I am thinking that Snyder decided that he could go ahead without a proper reason, like he does with many of his movies, because he thought the spectacle would be enough for viewers brought up on nonsensical MTV videos.
he was badly wrong. I really hope he is removed from any further DC movies. -

I had a sinking feeling the second my brother brought up this word
"SO batman hates superman for what reason"
The trailers couldn't justify the motivation but I held out hope that it was just a good old fashioned mystery box
