I have noticed a few things that always stick out to me when I rewatch an episode. For instance:
- Why did the idiot supersoldiers even leave a tray full of pointy things right next to the bed of the guy they're keeping prisoner?
- Gravitonium. Seriously still waiting for that to be a plot point again.
- Why was Cal even at that Australian satellite base in S2E8 anyway? Did he somehow know Coulson and his people would be there?
- Where was Weaver, Calderon, and that other 'counsel' member all last season? Seems like they would've been good to have around the middle of the season.
- Where do people Even sleep on Zephyr? Does it atleast have bigger cabins than the bus?
- Also, where did Coulson sleep back at the Playground? He couldn't sleep on the Bus every day.
- Why did no one wonder why the wall in Coulson's office had to be repaired often?
- Talbot was a big pain in Coulson and SHIELD's ass in season two. How did the military (and Coulson's SHIELD) not find the Iliad? You would think that neither organization wouldn't be incompetent enough to not find it for a year.
- So some doctors and scientists at a meeting came up with the name 'TAHITI' and then subsequently decided that their patients should say 'It's a Magical Place' when Tahiti is mentioned just to make sure their memory wipe was holding up?
- HOW DID COULSON FUND 'THETA PROTOCOL!?'
That's all I can think of now.
Do you have any similar thoughts?
LINCOLN CAMPBELL: I, UH, I'VE NEVER SEE THE 'TERMINATOR'.
PHIL COULSON: YOU'RE OFF THE TEAM.

- Why did the idiot supersoldiers even leave a tray full of pointy things right next to the bed of the guy they're keeping prisoner?
If this was from S1E10 it was because Coulson was tied up. Otherwise unclear what you are referring to. - Gravitonium. Seriously still waiting for that to be a plot point again.
Don't care. - Why was Cal even at that Australian satellite base in S2E8 anyway? Did he somehow know Coulson and his people would be there?
He was there to look for the temple. The implication was that he knew something that would give Hydra something to search for. Running into Coulson & Co. was a surprise. - Where was Weaver, Calderon, and that other 'counsel' member all last season? Seems like they would've been good to have around the middle of the season.
Off camera being inexpensive. - Where do people Even sleep on Zephyr? Does it at least have bigger cabins than the bus?
My guess is a lower deck that has bunks. - Also, where did Coulson sleep back at the Playground? He couldn't sleep on the Bus every day.
Unknown. - Why did no one wonder why the wall in Coulson's office had to be repaired often?
I would assume May or Coulson does on the qt so why would anyone even be aware of it ? - Talbot was a big pain in Coulson and SHIELD's ass in season two. How did the military (and Coulson's SHIELD) not find the Iliad? You would think that neither organization wouldn't be incompetent enough to not find it for a year.
You assume they knew it existed. But even so I agree it was easily detectable over time. - So some doctors and scientists at a meeting came up with the name 'TAHITI' and then subsequently decided that their patients should say 'It's a Magical Place' when Tahiti is mentioned just to make sure their memory wipe was holding up?
Sure why not. - HOW DID COULSON FUND 'THETA PROTOCOL!?'
He didn't Fury did.

When I first watched Season One (earlier this year; caught up on three seasons at once) I wondered if the Berserker Staff would be revisited. According to Professor Randolph, the "dark, nasty ache in the pit of your stomach, the rage in your chest that makes you feel as if your heart's about to explode" would be worse for a human, and last a few decades. Both Ward and May were exposed.

Isn't that thing buried under a barber's shop somewhere ?
Besides, with everyone else that ever touched that thing (including Ward) being dead, May is the only one left that succesfully wielded it. And that was because she already lived with that rage every day
without
it. That said, with her recent brain reset (which is supposedly going to have repercussions), her experience with that staff may become an issue again. If not, it would be a missed opportunity but nothing more.

I believe that it is buried. It was never a major issue, I just briefly wondered whether the show intended to incorporate it into Ward's storyline after he was revealed to be working with HYDRA. I never thought that a redemption storyline was likely for him but at one point I wondered if his exposure to the staff might be used as a partial excuse for him.

Good, me neither.
As for Ward, the whole family thing was an issue long before that staff had anything to do with his behaviour,
it
just brought it more to the surface. So redemption was never hindered by the staff, only by himself.

- Why did no one wonder why the wall in Coulson's office had to be repaired often?
The wall he was writing on was hidden behind his wall of screens. (They actually show it moving out of the way in season 2 ep 2.) So no one saw that it was constantly being repaired.

I have it in my headcanon that a random, no name agent in charge of janitorial would notice there were used paint brushes, dirty tarps, and empty cans of paint and primer in the trash once a month, then once a week, and then every other day. And then they would always ask other agents where people were fixing up the walls of the base.

- Gravitonium. Seriously still waiting for that to be a plot point again.
Never undestood anyone's interest in this. He appeared boring to me. - Also, where did Coulson sleep back at the Playground? He couldn't sleep on the Bus every day
We haven't seen his room. But we did get to see Simmon's bedroom twice. I suspect similar for anybody else. - Why did no one wonder why the wall in Coulson's office had to be repaired often?
I saw it as that they did wonder about it, but never spoke it loudly. Just a part of the package that was Coulson is weird and is keeping secrets. I would need to rewatch if this is true though. - Talbot was a big pain in Coulson and SHIELD's ass in season two. How did the military (and Coulson's SHIELD) not find the Iliad? You would think that neither organization wouldn't be incompetent enough to not find it for a year.
I am more wondering what the Liaid has been doing all that time. - HOW DID COULSON FUND 'THETA PROTOCOL!?'
what makes you think he couldn't? You think with the fall of shield all their assets just disappeared?
I have one question about money that bothered me more than 10).
How can Gonzales as the active leader of a criminal organisation freeze Coulson's bank account?
- Gravitonium. Seriously still waiting for that to be a plot point again.

- Why did the idiot supersoldiers even leave a tray full of pointy things right next to the bed of the guy they're keeping prisoner?
You answered your own question. Ref, see "idiot super soldiers" - Gravitonium. Seriously still waiting for that to be a plot point again.
Would be cool, but I think he fell into the bad memory pit located in the middle of the writers' room. - Why was Cal even at that Australian satellite base in S2E8 anyway? Did he somehow know Coulson and his people would be there?
Same reason Coulson was. - Where was Weaver, Calderon, and that other 'counsel' member all last season? Seems like they would've been good to have around the middle of the season.
Oliver got the E.L.O. treatment; and as for Weaver and Calderon, who cares? Good riddance. But, you're right; it makes no sense they or the Iliad didn't even get a mention in S3 (see "memory pit" reference above). - Where do people Even sleep on Zephyr? Does it at least have bigger cabins than the bus?
Six week mission without touching down? There's bunks. but who the hell wants to see bunks with all the tech on board? They could bring back the holo-table, though. - Also, where did Coulson sleep back at the Playground? He couldn't sleep on the Bus every day.
Why you so worried about bunks? Is that you, Jayne? - Why did no one wonder why the wall in Coulson's office had to be repaired often?
How do you know anyone wondered about it (or not)? May is probably a super spackler anyways - Talbot was a big pain in Coulson and SHIELD's ass in season two. How did the military (and Coulson's SHIELD) not find the Iliad? You would think that neither organization wouldn't be incompetent enough to not find it for a year.
I've brought that up myself. I mean, it's totally logical that an aircraft carrier (with no battle group) would be floating around an ocean somewhere and NO country in the world, especially the country with the best tech in the world, would be aware of it. right? Yeah, sure. totally plausible.
- So some doctors and scientists at a meeting came up with the name 'TAHITI' and then subsequently decided that their patients should say 'It's a Magical Place' when Tahiti is mentioned just to make sure their memory wipe was holding up?
well SOMEBODY had to come up with a good quip for T-Shirt sales.
- HOW DID COULSON FUND THETA PROTOCOL!?
I doubt he did. Remember in 2x02, he was worried about The Bus running out of fuel. Pretty sure Fury and/or Hill funded Theta and helped keep Coulson up and running.
Here's mine:
1.) Why can't Daisy/Mary-Sue-Poots/Skye/Daisy/Quake grow the hell up? Fitz and Simmons have; why can't she?
2.) Why doesn't Fitz have a monkey (or a dog) already?
3.) Where the hell is Ian Quinn?
4.) May and Ward sure seemed to get over the effects of The Berserker Staff pretty quickly (May even handled it twice).. What happened to "decades"?
5.) Why hasn't Fitz done something amazing with the 084 from 1x02? It would be typical Marvel for him to develop something out of that tech (or at least miniaturize it). - Why was Simmons the only one infected with the Chitauri virus in F.Z.Z.T.? The scout leader was the second one to die. First responder to the first dead guy should have been infected, too
7.) Why didn't Fitz and Simmons do further research into the other dimension that Tobias Ford disappeared to in Repairs? Again, would be typical for SHIELD scientists to be interested in.
8.) WHERE'S DEATHLOK? He ain't dead and all the king's horses and all the king's men have had time to put him back together again.

1.) Why can't Daisy/Mary-Sue-Poots/Skye/Daisy/Quake grow the hell up? Fitz and Simmons have; why can't she?
To be fair, Fitz and Simmons were never HIVE's brainwashed helper monkeys. However, yeah, she's acting like an angsty teenager.
2.) Why doesn't Fitz have a monkey (or a dog) already?
Maybe because they both take money and time?
3.)Where the hell is Ian Quinn?
Hanging out on the beach in the Seychelles maybe? I wish he'd be back, though some agency probably found a reason to send him to prison by now.
4.) May and Ward sure seemed to get over the effects of The Berserker Staff pretty quickly (May even handled it twice).. What happened to "decades"?
I don't know about Ward but May said she could handle it because she dealt with rage every day. Maybe she just got used to the effects and lived with them all this time.
5.) Why hasn't Fitz done something amazing with the 084 from 1x02? It would be typical Marvel for him to develop something out of that tech (or at least miniaturize it).
Maybe Coulson had it and other goodies (like the Berserker staff) locked up in that room with the memory machine, or somewhere else?
6) Why was Simmons the only one infected with the Chitauri virus in F.Z.Z.T.? The scout leader was the second one to die. First responder to the first dead guy should have been infected, too
Writing goof.
7.) Why didn't Fitz and Simmons do further research into the other dimension that Tobias Ford disappeared to in Repairs? Again, would be typical for SHIELD scientists to be interested in.
Maybe there was no way for them to?
8.) WHERE'S DEATHLOK? He ain't dead and all the king's horses and all the king's men have had time to put him back together again.
Ah. I know this one. He's a regular on another show.
You asked a lot of season one questions. I think they will remain unanswered because the show seems to have forgotten the first half of season one where Mike Peterson isn't concerned. Or they know and just don't know how to bring any season one subjects back if they came before Mike Peterson or "The Magical Place".

Don't care. Bring in a new actor, but dammit, bring on Deathlok.
You asked a lot of season one questions.
Season 1 left the most unanswered.
You brought up the fact that we didn't hear anything in S2 about Gonzales Gang survivors or the Iliad and those were my biggest writers' room memory pit questions of S2.
Speaking of funding. where did Gonzales get his? He had to put that boat back in order and pay for all of those nifty new SHIELD emblems. Fuel? Food? Weapons? Paychecks? Did Fury leave a cargo hold full of cash on that boat? Other than that, I thought the entire Real SHIELD story line was nonsense, so my biggest question is "why?"
Does Coulson REALLY hog the mic on Karaoke night?
S3: What happened to the ATCU? SHIELD gets legitimacy in S4 but no mention of the failed organization that lead to that legitimacy. ATCU was a Presidential mandate with full media coverage; but now it's in the memory pit with Real SHIELD.?
Who got Rosalind's T-Bird?
In 3x03, A Wanted (In)Human, when Lincoln put on his power line light show.. why did a squad of (supposedly) seasoned special ops stand around like a bunch of scared little girls? Lincoln was standing still and provided plenty of lighting. good time to take a shot, or do some "spray and pray", if you ask me.

Coulson probably has Ros's T-bird in storage somewhere.
I actually just thought of a Coulson related issue in IM2.
Even if he was "doing stuff" while he was in charge of babysitting Stark, how was Tony able to just up and leave the house while on house arrest?
Always bothers me. -

Well, obviously. Tony went to the Oliver Queen school of ditching security details.
