Seriously, why does that film get so much flack? It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. Origins wolverine was terrible. X3 at least felt like an x-men movie, and had a powerful score to mask some of its mediocrity. Apocalypse was pretty terrible, every other line was cringy and it looked like a cartoon.

X3 is my least favorite X-Men flick mainly for a few reasons.
The treatment of Cyclops and Jean.
It was a Wolverine, Storm, and their sidekicks movie.
Xavier's weird and largely unexplained death and "resurrection."
Huge X-Men characters like Colossus and Shadowcat were just glorified cameos and really didn't matter.
Characters being all on their high horses about someone like Rogue considering getting the "cure." The poor girl just wants to touch another human being. Let go of your precious mutant pride and think about what she's giving up for the cause. It's nothing like being gay, black, or whatever and wanting to be "cured" in her case. She just wants basic human contact. -

Several reasons really, X3 totally crapped on cyclops and that wasn't phoenix, that was zombiefied jean.
that whole kitty, bobby and rogue love triangle was a mess, even more so when you realize it was all so rogue can be taken out of the story and then return cured.
Storm was pushed into a bigger role but you can tell alot of her stuff is a last minute add on because Xavier gives her the you will have to be the leader talk and than at the end its wolverine whose leading them so there was zero point to it.
Oh and wolverine, yeah it was pretty much wolverine doing his own thing in the bigger story while the X-Men talked about the cure for a little while, and they don't even bother trying to find jean because of that but wolverine does because he "loves" her and thats really all that story was about.
oh and then buring cyclops and jean side by side, she only killed him and then tried to get it on with logan, how sweet.
So yeah who knows why the film gets flack. -

The reason why people generally hate X3 (and rightfully so) is because of all the cheesiness they decided to shoehorn in. The constant one-liners were not only far removed from what should be in an X-Men movie but they were vomit-inducing for any movie. Far worse though, is the crime they committed by completely messing up the Dark Phoenix Saga. Also, killing off Cyclops and Professor X "just 'cause?" Yeah, definitely earned its reputation of too much camp and horrible storylines.
Victims, aren't we all?
