The overarching issue with all of the other Marvel shows is how strained the story feels by the 13th episode. Whatever story they come up with is too thin for such a long series and inevitably becomes tiresome and full of holes by the time of the conclusion.
With Punisher you have a character that works better in an episodic format than any other Marvel hero. His war on crime is a war of attrition; and he is very good at war. USE that. When the protagonist straight up murders his enemies and is almost supernatural in doing so, having a single antagonist or group last for 13 hours of television makes little to no sense
I'm saying write two or three smaller, self contained arcs. 2-3 episodes is more than enough time to tell the story of how a group of (slavers, drug dealers, pimps, gun runners, ninjas, whatever) baddies found themselves on the Punisher's radar and where systematically wiped off the face of the earth.
You don't have to stretch your poorly written plot over 13 episodesyou CAN just write a few smaller good ones.

I agree with you. One of the issues with these Marvel series so far has been how poorly plotted and thin their stories felt. It has been because they try to stretch it over 13 episodes when the story is too shallow to be told in that many episodes. They need riveting subplots to truly make a good season.

Great point about Punisher's killing. If he is just killing people, there is less room for all the legal wrangling and twists that pad the arcs in DD and Luke Cage.
These twists can be exciting at times but can get old pretty quick.
