So I just found this comment on spoilertv, whichexplains the bizarre and bloody annoying schedule for lucifer and Gotham.
GOTHAM (8:00-9:01 PM ET/PT) and LUCIFER (9:01-10:00 PM ET/PT) air their winter finales on Jan. 30. " This is quite an odd move from FOX this Season, when it comes to scheduling their hiatuses. So essentially instead of one really long hiatus, Gotham and Lucifer will instead be split into three parts. First part is September-November, then a hiatus for December, then more episodes in January, then a hiatus from February-late April, and then the final batch of episodes. For whatever reason, they wanted to air 24:Legacy from February-April, instead of from January-March.
What the Hell? I can't wait this long for the whole season.

I remember other shows doing this in past years.
Hey, at least it spreads it out more over the year so we won't have to feel like we're waiting forever to get to September? Maybe?
I hope it works with whatever else is scheduled, for the ratings that is.

What am I supposed to watch in the meantime?
The Exorcist is pretty good.
I recorded an episode of Salem this week and it was just too gross to watch. I like a good show about the paranormal, but Salem is just getting nasty.
And the political news is scaring the cr*p out of me. -

Apparently you're supposed to watch whatever filler crap they give you. But then, last year Lucifer
was
that filler crap, so who knows.
Usually PBS has their genealogy shows on, and I think a Queen Victoria show starts in January that I want to try. And there's always Netflex and Hulu to explore. -

I'm trying to remember which shows have done this in the past. I can't recall and that's the problem. I'm afraid that these shows get lost in the shuffle when they split the airing up and people get confused about when they're on.
Let's hope the fact that the existing fan base is so loyal, it mitigates the confusing schedule. Or that the programming on the other networks is so unexciting it makes the scheduling favorable to Lucifer.

Geez, I'm going to need a graph & flow chart to figure out the schedule. LOL
I'm going to rip apart everything & everyone they ever loved. -Dean
