How does the Live+7 ratings work ? I didn't understand anything by looking at it. I saw an 86% increase for arrow. But I don't know what it means exactly.

It just means that there are more people watching the show online via streaming sites or through DVR rather than watching it live.
It's like a backdoor way of gaining good ratings. We're slowly moving into an era where people aren't watching shows right when they air. Why rush to get home to watch a show live if you can watch it later on an app or OnDemand?
I'm honestly surprised more networks aren't doing this method.
FOX is doing it, especially after the horrid live fall ratings they got last year.

Yea, Fox started doing it last year but i assumed it was to save face because other than Empire man did their ratings last year look bleak. So they started promoting online viewing and saying how they didnt care about live ratings.

Very interesting. Arrow actually gets more viewers than The Flash, if you include DVR and online.

That's not really what it says. Flash has a 2.1 demo, compared to the 1.3 of Arrow, and a 0.8 demo increase compared to the 0.6 of Arrow. What you can read from these statistics is that the Flash viewers tend to watch the show the day it is out. Arrow viewers tend to use the dvr more.
What you can get from these numbers is that Arrow must do better than shows like Supernatural and LoT on the Live+7 statistics. They have about the same demo to start with, but only Arrow is on the top 25 percentage increase.

Supernatural and Legends Of Tomorrow didn't start until October 13th, those DVR +7 results are for the week of Oct. 3-9, 2016, be another week or so before their results are in there.
Also those are for DVR only, they have nothing to do with Online and Catchup services and are only for the original broadcast date and time (as per site: Here are the Live +7 rankings for Oct. 3-9, 2016. The rankings include first-run series and specials only, not repeats).
In-Demand is separate and they only do a Top Ten and they include all watches and all seasons not just the current one, for instance:
Top 10 Most In-Demand Shows in the US (October 915, 2016)
                http://www.parrotanalytics.com/news/top-10-most-in-demand-shows-in-the-us-october-9-15-2016/
You will notice The Flash is in the Top Ten with 20,385,405 hits and Arrow doesn't appear at all, though again it is only a top ten.
                Edit:
                As a note, take the week before's In-Demand shows (October 28, 2016)
                http://www.parrotanalytics.com/news/top-10-most-in-demand-shows-in-the-us-october-2-8-2016/
The Flash has 17,283,448 hits, while Mr. Robot has 17,815,039 hits; Mr.Robot finished airing on the USA Network Sept. 21st 2016 and was still getting hits 2 weeks later.

Thanks, forgot about that. It will be interesting to see how Arrow does compared to the other shows on L+7 when those statistics are available. It will also be interesting to see how Supergirl does compared to Flash.
Do you know if there are any better sources available for L+7 statistics? I found it annoying last year that only those top 25 lists were available.

No I don't, that's what is a little annoying to me as well, I would love to see how much Arrow went up from last years premier, it's in 4th place this year however doesn't appear in the Top 25 last year.
Plus it would give some indication of how the other shows are going as well, as if Arrow has moved up that means overall that TV Ratings for all shows may be down this year. A show like The Blacklist stayed the same at 100%, however Quantico went from 113% last year to not appearing at all in the top 25 this year (on the same weeks).
Like if all TV Shows across the channels are down ratings wise this year, then Arrow is still doing well in relative terms for CW, however you need all the shows to know for sure (in +7 as they are in Same Day O/N). Though like I said in another thread, as far as the Superhero shows are going for CW, they are the highest rating ones, without them CW is in trouble.

IMDb has for every show and every actor and every movie a "Popularity" ratingI assume compared to other items in the same category. Arrow's popularity rating was #9 last week and remains #9 this week.
Does anyone know well enough to explain how they come by this rating?

Because supporting your thesis is tough, but throwing adjectives is easy.

Don't worry. As soon as the Olicity storylines come back to the forefront of the show, the ratings will improve.

Where did you get those figures from, as all I could find was the Top 25 from last year and Arrow wasn't in it, really interested if there is a better source for them.
                                  The ones I found:
                                  Oct. 5-11 2015:

Hahaha how thick am I, page down Johnny page down, that's what I was looking for and didn't see itTHANKS!
So down in all but position and percentage.
                                      19th 2015: ARROW P 2670/4097/1427/53%
                                      06th 2016: ARROW P 1871/3069/1198/64%
Designated Survivor wasn't on in 2015 and had 14.327 million viewers this year, while in 2015 Blindspot was at 14.708 million and it's down to 8.615 million now. Of course Castle is no longer on which had 10.523 million, How To Get Away With Murder was 11.221 million and is now 7.983 million. Modern Family 12.399 million now 10.753 million and all other shows have dropped compared to last year, so basically Designated Survivor has taken Castles 10 million odd and added 4 million odd to it (as both ABC).
