And is the host of more than one vengeful spirit. Perhaps he can pass one on to another host if that person makes a deal with Mephisto (the voice I assume Robbie heard).

if it's like the comics then yes there are a lot of other spirits of vengeance. what happened in the comics was the spirits of vengeance used to protect mankind but Zarathos tricked them into thinking that he could make them more powerful but what happened was he mimicked and took their power. the spirits of vengeance aren't demons in the comics. the only demonic spirit of vengeance was Zarathos.
anyway Zarathos used the power to try to take down Mephisto and replace him but Mephisto had given up his soul so the spirit of vengeance powers were useless against him. Their powers only work on those people with souls. useless against those without souls. So Mephisto then defeated Zarathos and bound him in the body of a human.. Johnny Blaze to insult him and basically get rid of him.
so what might happened is Zarathos switched bodies. it's unlikely Mephisto would ever willingly free Zarathos.
or another spirit of Vengeance entered Robbie. unlikely Noble Kale but possible, Noble Kale was a human who became a spirit of vengeance but he possessed one of his descendants .. Daniel Ketch. they could have used one of Robbie's ancestors.. or like i said an actual spirit of vengeance not someone who became a spirit of vengeance.
