Ang Lee deserves an "A" for effort but the final product just didn't work at all. I did like his "comix book" cuts trying to bring home the flavor of reading the books. It's just the story itself was a huge swing and a miss as was the lacking CGI.

A complete masterpiece in every sense of the word; From Directing to performances and production to costumes and score and story ALL FLAWLESS! This film is my pic for Best Picture of 2013 (Next to 'Carrie' which was also just as well made) It sux it wasn't nominated though

DOFP is a story telling masterpiece. This movie was a character masterpiece. Meaning, this IS Wolverine. He doesn't actually do much in DOFP.
