      Wow. I've got to disagree. I love the actress, but that's got to be one of the worst fake American accents I've ever heard. Was she attempting to do Southern?

          I know, I know. I agree completely. I don't know why they couldn't have just had her keep the accent. You can be a senator if you're a naturalized citizen. She could've just tried to tone it down a bit, or you know, maybe not attempt to be SOUTHERN. I think her performance would be better if she weren't so distracted by trying to keep the accent on track.
          I will never understand why English actors are generally so mediocre-to-bad at doing American accents when Aussies and Irish people are almost always flawless. Mace is 100% believable as an American.
