Who thought Penguin and Riddler were gonna kiss in last night's episode?

How would you know if Oswald is gay? That's just not proven either way. The only sex scene we've seen with him involved a hot woman throwing herself at him and him pushing her away, so I'm going to guess that he's either not interested in sex or just not interested in sex with women. He could very well be into guys. It certainly looked like he was about to try to kiss Ed.
We know Ed likes girls, but we don't know if he also likes boys or not. -

It did look like that and I really hope that's not the direction they're headed. The characters were not gay in any past versions, and we've already seen that Ed is attracted to women. This would obviously be a forced element just to make a political statement.

Like 95% of the time, whenever people say that two characters in a movie or TV series are gay whenever they show a bit of bromance, I just roll my eyes at it. However, I must admit, during that scene, I was actually think "Are they really going to go there?" So yes, I did expect them to kiss based on the way they were behaving towards each other.

I think the writers were teasing us by hinting so strongly at it.
Riddler is known to be into girls, and Penguin is pretty much asexual so far as we know, and one hopes it stays that way. Making them gay would be a major change to the Batman universe and probably put off a lot of fans. -

Well it certainly wouldn't feel out of place in the same way Barbara and Tabitha have turned towards each other. This is a society where lusts are a free for all and it fits for the villains who see passion towards one another as a chance of fully embracing the darkness. Nygma and Cobblepot see something in each other that turns them on about their inner darkness and their devotion at helping each other out has turned into something deeper. They're not as lustful as the girls are and their relationship has deeper feelings of love than Barbara and Tabitha given how they've spent enough time with each other at this point to realize they actually are in love. Besides, Penguin and Riddler have always been the most flamboyant of villains in comic history next to Joker and Mad Hatter that it wouldn't feel too far out of place to see them getting intimate and passionate with each other. Of course, whether they consummate their relationship or not, it's still to be determined if Nygma will always look out for Cobblepot before he follows his own agenda.

They were TOTALLY teasing. I don't think there's any plans to make any of these characters gay, but yes Yes it did seem like they were going to kiss. The whole episode felt like a Butch/Penguin/Nygma love triangle.
I don't mind it, it just sucks that I'm kinda shipping for Butch now -

I thought they were and was pleasantly surprised they didn't. I don't like the idea of them making Nygma gay, though - so long as they are (and they have been) - discarding comic canon, I actually like the idea of making Penguin gay, or at least fall for Nygma.
The pair of them are easily the most interesting characters on the show, and I think making their relationship more complex than "and now they are lovers" would be more more preferable. The idea that Penguin would have deep feelings for Nygma, only to have Ed be all "um, we're friends, but not like that" would be even more tragic for Penguin and could play to Nygma's sociopathic detachment and scheming; I still think his loyalty to Penguin is not 100% genuine.
Whatever we go with, though, I am loving the Penguin as Mayor plot and hope the show never loses focus on him, or Nygma (or Butch, another fave).
Oh, but in terms of a gay character, if they want one, my first choice would actually be Viktor! Would be a great way to not pander to the usual "gay stereotype" and make him an Eddie The Dane (Miller's Crossing) type of guy who kicks major butt.
