Could The Mirror Trick(Capturing Photographs) On The Flash Work IRL

I'm not sure how much of the science on The Flash can be applied to real life (like how Cisco can magically create any gadget they need) but I really liked the old mirrors being used as cameras in a way.
Any sciencecy people on here know if that could work in real life? -

I wouldn't believe so but I'm not an expert.
The biggest problem if it does would be to get the exact images you're looking for. I'm sure people have stood infront of that mirror since the night Reverse-Flash murdered Barry's mom thus their images would also be stored. -

People standing there wouldn't be captured because it was the flashes of lightning which caused Barry and RF to show up. I don't think this could be rationally explained in the real world because speedsters don't exist
