Who is playing Nathanial Essex?

The plot mentiones his name a couple times in the summary, but I can't see him in the cast list. Am I missing something?

They're probably trying to hide that to make Mister Sinister a surprise to those who aren't compulsively googling the movie.

Maybe no one is playing him in this.
I still think that Mister Sinister is going to be the major X-Men villain for the next team/core movie (
X-Men 7
with James McAvoy's crew), not this one. It seems obvious that the cybernetist Donald Pierce will be the main villain/adversary in this, hunting mutants and Wolverine in particular with his band of Reavers.

Nathaniel Essex is probably just name dropped a lot as I believe that Laura is a female clone of Wolverine that Sinister created some time long ago in a laboratory. If Mister Sinister is in this at all, he's probably some shadowy figure in the background, and not mixed up in the foreground of this adventure.
For Wolverine's sake he better hope that Mister Sinister isn't his opponent in this, Sinister would wipe the floor with Wolverine.

Well if the leaked script info is true, then Mister Sinister will indeed have a big presence in this film. In fact, pretty much everything that happens in Logan is all because of Mister Sinister. Then he will be the main villain in either X-Force or another X-Men film set in the future. Mister Sinister can't be the villain any of the prequels, for reasons I can not spoil. But Fox is making Mister Sinister the Thanos of the X-Men film universe. Again, if the leaked script info is true, anyways.

There is a bit of buzz that it will be Bryan Cranston but that he only appears briefly, like the first Thanos reveal in the Avenger's post-credits.

in "Geeking Out" with Kevin Smith and Greg Grugberg I saw the episode with Bryan Cranston and they asked what comic book character would he love to play and he wanted to be someone who hasn't been done yet and she mentions Mr. Sinister
