Coz all he knows is to do a wind tunnel and whatever other junk.
What ever happened to creating Mirages?

While i agree that the writers make him far to useless and stupid, they cant have him use his powers competently all the time because that would turn each episode into "Flash there is. a situation you already cleared up" and the episode can focus on young adult love drama. yay?

1. Creating mirages was not a solution. If he was creating mirages, he would need to physically go back and forth between the ground and the top of the building. In that case, he can't create the spiral of air that he did by going round in circles.
2. On the other hand, he could create a time remnant of himself. While that would do the job, it would result in the time wraiths pursuiting him again.
