So glad Aida didn't result in any FitzSimmons melodrama

Same, but I also don't think we are out of the woods yet. When Radcliff told Aida that Fitz lied to protect her, I got a very creepy feeling from Aida. I think she is going to become obsessed with Fitz.

I disagree. I think the creepy feeling was more in line with the fact that lying can be good. They're hinting at Aida going rogue, like Ultron. And when Radcliffe emphasized her being alive, she may just lie in order to save her own.
Now knowing her rules are bendable, when life is involved, how far will she be willing to go to protect her own life?
Simmons exam is taking the plot in that very direction. Of course, it will work out for Aida, but then later in the season, that plot point will return and her life will be in danger.
The cold winds are rising. Winter is coming. -

I think I would have been disappointed if she didn't recognize her as an android. She's Simmons, after all. If there was anyone who could have recognized something was non-human, it would have been her.
I am surprised by her reaction to it though. She even seemed to approve of it Her Whatever.
I hope she doesn't use the Ward method of beating a lie detector, though. I had a hard time watching when he pulled that spike out from under his fingernail -

Yeah, they've had enough drama amongst themselves. I'm kind of glad this wasn't something that lasted all during the season.
I thought it so funny that Jemma walked in and knew it was an android immediately. -

Yeah, I've always thought Jemma would be more accepting of questionable tech like AIDA than Fitz would? She seems like the kind of person who would do something 'for science' whereas Fitz is a bit more cautious. He had to be lured into helping with the promise that it was for the good of humanity. But yeah it was quite clear the only reason she hadn't been made aware of her was because Fitz is wary of the new director and knew that Jemma would probably have to tell him. But i'm glad he explained that, she understood and they geeked out over AIDA's tech.

I was also glad to see that while she had her 'outside' reservations about helping Daisy, we could see she wanted to find a way to help her, and did.
The interesting thing is going to be how Jemma handles all this next week with the Director without losing her position.
