You should watch Agents Of Shield. It's nothing but women beating up men. I guess that's supposed to be good. I don't know. Men and women have the same strength in Marvel. Hot women in tight clothes never seem to go out of style though. Gotta sell the product

Yes, I was positively surprised too. And it felt completely natural. Strong women characters are frequently miscast because directors feel that youthful beauty is more important than screen presence and acting chops. But Simone Missick and Rosario Dawson aren't just gorgeous, they were also utterly convincing in their roles.

I liked seeing so many black women on a show at once. Strong white women have been around for a while. Black women really just started get cast as leads within the last few years. I mean actual black women, Hollywood usually picks light and/or mixed ones that look barely black or they're the unattractive mentor/advisor type. Misty and her bosses were competent and attractive.
I never saved anything for the swim back. -

I liked it was done seamlessly and evenhanded. We weren't hit over the head with girl power where all the males are evil or incompetent and probably both.
So your son can be Luke Cage and your daughter can Misty or Claire or own a restaurant or be a police captain or -

it's easy to miss that this show has a lot of smart, strong and resourceful female characters. Misty Knight
I wouldn't call Misty Knight a "strong" female characterI guess she's a good detective in some ways but she also has tons of flaws. Arrogance, poor judgement and a propensity for blaming others for her own mistakes makes her a pretty weak character in my books despite her cocky talk and basketball playing ability. -

With Luke Cage being so alpha (he's a huge bulletproof super powered Black man
) it's easy to miss that this show has a lot of smart, strong and resourceful female characters. Misty Knight, Claire and her busniess owning mother who tells Luke he better not let her daughter get a scratch, Misty Knight's boss, of course Mariah Dillard, the female reporter,
I agree. Shows nowadays want the women aggressive and phsycially capable as men, even if in the real world, this is utter baloney. Even Rosario Dawson could have been just a strong capable nurse, but nah, let's make her be able to track down purse snatchers and kick their ass too because you know.feminism. Then when both she and a close to death Misty took out Shades, it looked ridiculous. The way Claire takes him and slams him against the wall was definitely an eye roller. They were building 'Shades' up to be a baddass but the way he gets his butt kicked by two chicks, looked totally awkward. The one thing about Dare Devil is the actor has speed and the appearance of power to his punches. But the second they begin introducing regular and wannabe phsyically empowered women in to this, they just don't match up on the realism factor.
