it do everything better. there were sub storylines with the secondery charecters like the russian brothers. wilson fisk relationship with gao and the other crime lords. great flashbacks to matt childhood. the stick episode. episodes that felt diffrent from each other. great fight scenes using real martial arts. great dialouges. the flashback to fisk childhood.fisk payroll on the police. like i said dd season 1 felt like an actual universe with alot of secendery charecters and alot of twists.
Secondary characters in Jessica Jones had stories too. Like the Heroine addict in her building that used to be a musician.
There was no "real" martial arts in daredevil. No Martial arts flip around that much in a "real" fight.
Kingpin for me was a letdown with his tantrums. He felt like a child with mental issues and never came across intimidating or menacing.
dd season 2 was great up to episode 7 and after that instead of story progression they decided to spam it up to the end with cannon fodder ninja in episodes so dark that you can t even see shiet and that ugly suit that look nothing like the comics with mediocore fighting. so everything after ep 7 besides the parts with fisk in jail with the punisher and then his confrontation with matt that was amazing. besides that dd season 2 is crap. and jessica jones suffers from almost the same thing up to episode 7-8 its interesting and then jessica get the immunity powers against kilgrave and then its just mediocre crap. like shes magicklly immune to him all of a sudden instead of them thinking how to make an original way for her to win.
Her immunity was explained well and was backed up by the scene from the past that was shown early on, so it fit perfectly fine. It was made up for the series as the original way she overcame Kilgrave was by Jean Grey implanting a failsafe in her mind. And as Marvel don't have the rights to X-men or the use of mutants, something else had to be created. If you read Alias you would be shocked to see how many superheroes are involved in the Jessica vs Kilgrave story.
I would say after episode 8 it became more interesting as we began to learn even more about other characters (Patsy Walker
and the experimental drugs that will lead to Hellcat
) and even more regarding Jessica's past (her childhood and the accident).
But to each their own I guess.

there were sub storylines with the secondery charecters like the russian brothers
I found this painfully boring. The series did nothing to make me care about the characters in any of the sub stories. It was really frustrating and I just wanted it to get back to a main plot and for the main plot to develop. The characters were really shallow and cliched.
          great flashbacks to matt childhood
Probably the part I hated most about the series, other than the scenes with Matt talking to the priest. The story was progressing so slowly, and every episode there was a 10 minute flashback scene that I just did not need. It was again incredibly frustrating and boring.
great fight scenes using real martial arts.
There was one great fight scene. None of the scenes were martial arts, they were more like brawling. One great fight scene in a 13 episode series is nowhere near enough to make a good series.

I like every Marvel Movie, and every other Marvel TV series, but because I don't like this one season of Daredevil, I don't like the Superhero genre? MMMM ok.

I like all 3 shows, but DD is the best to me - JJ and LC are about even; JJ is probably ahead a little bit if I had to choose.
JJ loses steam and gets too repetitive with Kilgrave getting captured and escaping. It feels like it should've been 2 or 3 episodes less that season. I'd say the same thing about DD season one, but JJ had a bigger problem with that. I think DD has a better supporting cast with Karen, Foggy, Ben, Claire, Punisher, Electra, and Stick. JJ's supporting cast is forgettable - I don't even remember their names even though they ate up screen time.
I liked Kingpin, but really all 3 of the Netflix shows' villains have been whiny brats on some level. Diamondback the most - I'd say Kilgrave and Kingpin are about even in that regard. I would recommend someone to watch all 3 shows and in chronological order if someone asked me.
I don't see the point in criticizing DD's action, yes, it can always get better, but other than Banshee and Strike Back - DD easily has the best action of any show ever made.
I never saved anything for the swim back.

You're entitled to your wrong opinion.
It is all subjective, let's just say that.
I know those who only want action will disagree
I've noticed that many people who prefer Jessica Jones point out the action in DD when discussing which show is better; some see DD as a lesser show simply because action is a big part of DD. I get it, action is not challenging or interesting enough compare to psychological themes. Frankly, as much as I love DD's stunning action scenes (admittedly they are the highlights of a few episodes) ultimately they're not what makes me gravitate towards DD. You know what it is? Well, it's basically everything: the performances, the many more engaging and dynamic characters, the impressive flashback scenes, the tone, the music, the drama, the very layered Matt Murdock, etc. Oh, and those unexciting relationship and court scenes? Man, I'm all for them.
So yeah, I think Daredevil is much more than an action show and it has plenty to offer.
You want something corny? You got it!

As I said I didn't like Kingpin in season 1 which gravely impacted the show. I also wanted to see more of how Matt's powers work but that element was lacking. I mean a show with super powers which doesn't show us the super powers at work..Really?
And how is Matt layered exactly? His day to day persona and his crime fighting persona?
