Loved the show, already binge watched it twice. The biggest problem I had with it though is hes too powerful and I felt like it gave him way too much of an unfair advantage against his enemies. Yes there was the whole Judas bullet thing and it almost killed him, but other than that it was almost boring watching him fight. I mean, bulletproof skin and superstrength puts him right up there with some of the most powerful heroes in the mcu, but he's just getting in fights with a bunch of street level thugs and it got very formulaic. The bad guys unload on him, the bullets obviously do nothing and then he proceeds to beat them down with a single strike and crumples up their guns. It got repetitive fast imo.
Watching him take out an army of cottonmouths guys in that safe house where they had all that money stashed was a bit of a yawn.
Did anyone else feel that way? Thats my only complaint. Besides that the show was fantastic, and i was sorry to see cottonmouth get taken out mid season, he was phenomenal and stole every scene he was in.
I just hope in season two they have him facing some more powerful foes that are more evenly matched against him.

Well Hammer technologies did develop equalizers to give Luke Cage more of a fight, but his half brother didn't get the sense to use them till the final fight on him.
I did wonder why Luke didn't just put on a ski mask and just beat up the bad guys and wreck the club as soon as he realized they were up to no good.
I can understand later needing to be an image as well as the hero, but it took him too long in my opinion to do anything.
although once he did decided to do something, I enjoyed all the one sided fights.
Didn't Spider-man start out with taking on non powered people as well?

        True.
Okay this is IMDb meaning everyone here is a director/writer if only in I'll own mind.
        So let's go!
        IMHO
Cage unlike Daredevil is actually better with more evil one dimensional villains.
        Cage is an
        avenging angel/force of nature
Luke needs bad guys you are dying to see get their asses handed to them.

Except being powerful doesn't solve all his problems. That's the point. He doesn't win everything just because he's strong. He wins because he's smart about it.
The show isn't about the fights anymore than Jessica Jones was.
The WAY he takes them out is actually kind of hilarious to me. He hardly punches anyone, because like when Diamond Back punches people, it would kill them. Instead he just kind of slaps them upside the head and they go down like a sack of potatoes.
