Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Marvel/DC

Fox's Deadpool embraced the CBM completely. From the costume to the huge, amazing, scene stealing Colossus.
Brian Singer's XA is stuck in 2000 where heroes don't wear costumes, only flightsuits that are conveniently laying around, and everyone has to be a real actor in makeup.
Well, CB characters are sometimes larger than life and can't be played by a real actor. Apocalypse is one of those characters, like Thanos, Hulk and Colossus, that has to be %100 CGI if they're going to be amazing.
This movie is stuck in a time when it's risky to be too comic bookey. They're shelling out the same old tired drivel that plays it too safe while Fox and Marvel are pushing into near territory.

It shows Singer is too incompetent to handle a modern CBM.

Agree with you. This franchise needs a breath of fresh air with a new director. Singer has peaked with how far he can take the X-Men.

Cause of the noob Bryan Singer who cant direct a comic book movie even if his life depended on itsure he is a talented director but comic book movies isnt his thing, that is whyhe should stick to crime thrillers which he knows how to make
~If the realistic details fails, the movie fails~
