Memo to Barry Allen: Everyone you meet believes in you within 5 minutes, so do you seriously still need a pep talk before you defeat every villain?

Yep. This Barry is seriously like a little 9 year old boy who needs to be prep-talked to before meeting his enemies

These pep talks have gotten old, I've lost count how many times Barry has needed these talks. Maybe she should put out for him once in a while and Barry can grow a pair.

He never will in this stupid show. I finally see the problem for what it is. Barry's character is Too light. Arrow ruined itself last season by making Oliver this silly guy who grinned all the time and laughed at the wrong moments, who hesitated when he showed have been delivering a cripling blow or putting an arrow in someone, etc. They've been doing the same with Flash ever since its pilot episode but now, such comical and stupid writing its beginning to show up!
Now, happy-go-lucky Barry has become so insensitive and so "light", he would even sacrifice his mother's life and allowing a murderer to kill her in order to keep his power and to save his "shallow", bimbo girlfriend's brother. That's going to far.

Did you forget that during that scene Barry had just lost all memories of being the Flash?

She's his lightning rod. This is a part of the Flash mythology and it has been "shown not tell" in the tv show. I think stuff like this gets lost whenever the Flash nerds write an episode.

Which scene was that? I don't think he lost ALL of his memories of being the Flash because he remembered where he hid Reverse.
