Umm, yep, does kinda look that way. Though I believe there is more than one kid, as the dad said that the kid
    s
    were home sick.
Mum's going to love it - NOT!

In interviews she said she has two little boys, but maybe that's changed.

Does that mean Mum has to take care the Dead woman's daughter ?
But then mum is locked into 'adopting an established family' story line. And I'm not sure the director wants that.
If the mother of the children re-surfaces, then doesn't she have to face the cocaine charges for all the cocaine found in the residence? Or did the father take the hit for that? Lucifer said he didn't think the coke was the father's.
So how does the dead mother resurface into the public eye without being charged by Chloe?

Charlotte Richards, in her life before death, was working with murdered young chap and the FBI to bring down the drug cartel. The cocaine was part of the operation she had going with the FBI, and so no charges.

So why was all that cocaine in her home?
I think these are the parts of the narrative that go by too quickly.
Well one issue that's starting to make more sense is that the cast list refers to Helfer as playing 'Charlotte', so this might suggest that she's going to be mother to the children. Unless this was revealed in sneak peeks for future shows?

In a 'real life' scenario, I am not sure how one would explain this without knowing more fully the part the murdered young man played in the FBI operation. I guess as a place to keep the stuff and her operation with the FBI hidden from her husband, the wedding suit garment bag would have been as secure as a safe. It would still have been handy when she needed to put it in play.
In the show. it was there so Lucifer could be showered in the stuff and verify the nature and quality of the substance. If one really wants to nit pick, it is unlikely pulling the zipper of a garment bag would rip open a package.

All good points. I can't argue with that. So then I get the impression that mum will step into Charlotte's life and take over as mother to the children? I guess that's what she wanted: to be mother again and have a home she can call her own.

I gather this is the plan - Mum masquerades as Charlotte with all the humour that can conjure up. It will be fun seeing how she juggles her lives.
Lesley-Ann Brandt posted a picture of she and Tricia with a caption, Mum, Maze and a casserole - "what could go wrong". Lesley-Ann looked like Maze but Tricia as Charlotte/Mum was in an apron that looked like it had come from June Cleaver's wardrobe.
It isn't 'a home' of her own Mum wants. She wants 'her' home, her place and her position.

She wants 'her' home, her place and her position.
So you're predicting that she won't settle for anything less than her former position in Heaven?

First let me say, I was responding to your
I guess that's what she wanted: to be mother again and have a home she can call her own.
and the answer to that is this is not what she wants, and isn't why she has come looking for Lucifer.
Will she 'settle' for being a suburban soccer mom however affluent? No, I don't think so. I think she will play the part while she sets about getting all her puzzle pieces in place. She is afterall, a goddess, diminished perhaps, but still very much aware of who and what she is - the ultimate Matriarch. It will be interesting to see just how far she pushes things. Personally, I don't think goddesses 'settle'.

                        Seems like a reasonable viewpoint.

At some ages, it's hard to tell if the child on the phone is a boy or girl. The dad mentioned he had two sick boys at home.
While "mum" has more children, her first desire was to reconnect with her sons on earth, Luci and Amen. I think there's going to be a bit of "doing it better the second time" either implied or actually discussed. I do not think that will be the full focus of season 2, but more of an aside, the way Trixie has been almost a way to punctuate some of the lessons Lucifer is learning.

I mentioned in another thread that I rewatched the scene with Eliott Richards and it looks like he's gathering up girl's clothing and there are pink toys in the corner, so the 2 boy assertion is looking pretty wrong at this point.
