She's at least got the mac'n'cheese thing down.
Are you sure?!?! It looked to me like the top of the casserole was black, not just a bit over browned but black!

Yup, it was the finest deep black charcoal on Mac'n'Cheese I've ever seen (already could smell it!).
But it's all about the "mommy'scaring4u"-thing 'cause TV never lies: Good mom's prepare M'n'C for their beloved children to make them happy! (Didn't ever work for minebaaaad children!:))

LOL!! I can't say it worked for mine either He learned to cook in self defense and made his own version with worcestershire sauce. I still, to this day, cannot deal with even the smell of ws.

I love homemade mac'n'cheese. Use a touch of spicy brown mustard when making the cheese sauce for a bit of zing. Never thought of WS though.
I couldn't tell if it was brown or black on top, but it's the effort that counts! Gotta give her an 'A' for trying.

a few of you replied as if you think "mum" is dead
"mum" a.k.a. Charlotte, is not dead - she is, indeed, alive and quite well
and that's the problem I have with the situation
whether or not "mum"/Charlotte returns to her cuckold husband & kiddies - or her law firm - is something that's confusing me
"mum" can't just "hang out" with Luci & the Gang without them explaining where the real, living, human Charlotte has gone to, now can she?
but, they'll probably just ignore it, and I'll just keep being confused

              Live long and Pester!

If you give the writers time,I'm sure they will resolve it in the next episode or two.Why would they just "ignore" it. Why can't Charlotte hang out with them, she is a lawyer as far as Chloe is concerned. I doubt she would want to hangout with Chloe and Lucifer at crime scenes.
imperfection is an altogether attainable human goal, and love is acceptance of imperfections.

No, Charlotte is dead. Mom entered dead bodies and reanimated them with her own life force. Those people she tried to inhabit were all already dead.
The tricky part is that her family doesn't know this and think she's alive. This has all bee talked about by Tricia, and others.

                      ohhhh, o.k. - now I think I get it
I'll try to wrap my head around that
so, basically, "mum"/Charlotte is a "walking dead", and when "mum" goes back to hell - or whatever is in store for her - Charlotte will "die"
                      got it!!
still, while "mum" inhabits Charlotte's body, she has to be Charlotte, the lawyer and mommy, doesn't she?
being that she knows absolutely nothing about the law or being a "mac 'n' cheese mommy", that should be amusing!
so, when did Tricia and others talk about this?
                      pre-season interviews, I presume

As of now no humans know that the owner of the Lawyer firm is dead. In Chloe's eyes she and Lucifer save the woman from being killed by the co-worker. Mum can continue her disguised as the Sexy Mother and still do what she want's since the husband doesn't have any balls anymore.

Charlotte and Mr. Richards do not look like a good match. Wonder how they ever got together? It's going to be very interesting to see how Mom deals with her role as mother to two little boys and wife to a guy even her host body didn't like. Plus, she's supposed to be a lawyer? I wonder if she's going to try to step into this role? Or if not, how on earth is she going to get out of it? Will there be a parallel between her abandoning two little boys and Lucifer and Amenadiel? This sets up some interesting conflict.

I don't recall in the show if it was ever mentioned that Charlotte's kids were "two little boys"
all the slovenly dad said was that they were "puking kids" - he didn't mention how many - or if they were boys or girls
having "mum"/Charlotte abandon those kids is a sub-plot I could live without
I'd rather see her trying to perfect her mac 'n' cheese recipe!

Tricia said it in an interview, but it's quite possible that they are both sexes. But she did specifically say, two little boys because I immediately thought of the parallel of abandoning them vs abandoning her own real sons.

lolyeah, I get google alerts on the show and cast members, so I read a lot of stuff. A lot of it's total garbage so I'm not really sure it's worth your time to do the same. 🙂
However, I am shocked you've never heard of Tricia Helfer. Are you not from the US? Or just don't watch much tv? Or maybe you just didn't watch the shows she was in. I never watched Battlestar Galactica which is the show that made her famous (do a google search and you'll see her in the famous red dress, there's a great one of her in The Last Supper in that dress), but I loved her character in Burn Notice. She really knows how to play evil with a vulnerable edge. Which she's doing a lot more of in this show already. And I was really happy to see her in Suits, where she played a very classy lawyer and Harvey's love interest. Hated to see her leave that, but happy she's in Lucifer now. Even better.

Here she is in The Last Supper scene.

Battlestar Galactica was obviously sci-fi but it had heavy religious overtones and Tricia's character, 6, is a true believer. That's as far as I've gotten, I've still got a lot of episodes to go.
And here she is in the red dress:

well, there's the answer to why I don't know her!
never watched Battle Galactica; stopped watching both Burn Notice and Suits before she joined the cast
wow! she looks different as a blonde
like her "look" as "mum" way better
also, the "slutty dress" is sooo cool!

Loved Helfer in BSG and I'm thinking that some of the intrigue that she put into the character of '6' will be brought into this series. Helfer's character in BSG was that of an infiltrator. I'm wondering if she'll be an insurgent, counter insurgent or just wants to be a mom again.

So Nasloranger, I rewatched the dad scene, and he's definitely pulling some sparkly looking clothing off the makeshift clothesline in his living room. And there's some kind of pink plastic toy in the corner, so I think one of those kids must be a girl.
