On the note of continuity, it would have been nice if they would have kept the Punisher's character model consistent from his Ironman: Rise of the Technovore appearance. In that regards, his appearance in that previous film was very "anime-ish" or Japanese, his appearance in this show is more in-line with the traditional Western appearance of the Punisher, IMO - but it is hard to not notice he looks like an almost different person. If I recall, I think they had issues with keeping Cyclops and Wolverine looking consistent between the different Marvel anime mini-series, too.

I don't know why the Punisher's character model was changed from Ironman: Rise of the Technovore, but it was one of the very few good things that was changed in this film since the Punisher has never once looked like that. I should know, I've been collecting Punisher comics since the late 80s. He's never had a face where it looks like it's melting, a curtained hairstyle or long sideburns. Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher was actually quite accurate in his appearance.

Why stick with an appearance model that didn't even come close the character
???
Just because it wasn't in continuity oh please, give me a break. I don't know what some people saw in that horrible ugly looking anime-ish appearance and I never will. -

This was one of my favorite of Marvel's new animated movies. As a Marvel fan and someone who sees and enjoys all superhero animated movies, I enjoyed this one. It wasn't supposed to be a Avengers film, hence the Confidencal part of the title, although seeing them pop up in the end for a (very) few scenes only added to the movie. Was it perfect? No. Was it very enjoyable to see the Punisher as a bad ass? Yes, yes it was.

It's not that bad. I actually thought it was pretty good compared to other Marvel animated movies. It has a lot more action then you say it does. It a BIG improvement from marvel. So to all that are thinking about watch it, I say give it a chance. You might like it.

i don't what you watched this movie is solid 7 out of 10 it has none stop action and tons of fighting scenes only down side is they have made it too short trying to squeeze all in to 83min when it should have been at least 2-3 hour movie or a mini series, i loved it still and will recommend it to any one.

watching this now.
not the worst they've made, that iron man anime was just pure awful
this is slow, not much action, too much of black widow and the stupid contrived plot of the bad guy - and black widow being on an even strength level with caste let alone the bad guy is idiotic
worth watching to pass the time, then forget. like most other marvel animated movies since hulk vs -

It says black widow and the Punisher so you know these are will be the main focus.
By the way there is a reason why the black Widow is so strong.
READ BELOW.
Powers and abilities
The Black Widow is a world class athlete, gymnast, acrobat, aerialist capable of numerous complex maneuvers and feats, expert martial artist (including karate, judo, ninjutsu, aikido, savate, various styles of kung fu, and boxing), marksman, and weapons specialist as well as having extensive espionage training. She is also an accomplished ballerina.
Natasha
has received the Red Room's variant of the
SuperSoldier
Serum
. As a result, her physical and mental abilities had been enhanced slightly beyond human limits.
The Black Widow has been
enhanced
by
biotechnology
that makes her body resistant to aging and disease and heals at an above human rate; as well as psychological conditioning that suppresses her memory of true events as opposed to implanted ones of the past without the aid of specially designed system suppressant drugs.
The Soviet experimentation has rendered her body infertile.[volume & issue needed]Due to the Super-Soldier Serum, the white blood cells in her body are efficient enough to fight off any microbe, foreign body and others from her body, keeping her healthy and immune to most, if not all infections, diseases and disorders. Also, it takes quite a bit for Natasha to become intoxicated.[volume & issue needed]Her agility is greater than that of an Olympic gold medalist. She can coordinate her body with balance, flexibility, and dexterity easily. Her bodily tissues have been augmented to superhuman development. She possesses exceptional durability, strength, endurance, and stamina.Natasha's reaction time is similarly enhanced and functions with the peak of human efficiency and capability, bordering on superhuman level. It is possible for Natasha to dodge a bullet even at point blank range. -

I would definitely give this movie a chance. The animation consists of very dark colors which reflect an overall dark theme- as such, it seems geared towards more mature viewers. The voice-over acting was outstanding as well. If we want to see more quality American-themed anime (Marvel, DC, indie titles, etc) then we should really put our support behind this quality effort.
Mistakes make exceptional possible. Sometimes the wrong path leads to the right path. -

I am quite surprised you say that. It's like you and me watched a totally different movie. This film is really good and I really enjoy watching it. I dive into the movie without hoping the Avengers will show up in the movie and when the eventually do show up it isn't really necessary. The voice acting is great, the way they portray Punisher and Black Widow is top notch. I don't see anything wrong with the movie. Everyone should give a chance. I really recommend this film to everyone I know.

i can't tell you how many times i used these 3 words "oh, come on!". i should submit a review of this movie, but i can't imagine how long that would take if i tried to point out all the flaws, the nope. going to stop here bc it's not worth my time to write anymore.
heck, if memory serves me, it didn't even have the "marvel" logo, so was this even approved by them? it did have co-executive producer stan lee, but i doubt he had anything to do with this other than, maybe money.
please save your time and forget that this was even made. -

I liked it. Not nearly as bad as the Iron Man standalone animated movies.
I still think The Avengers 1, Doctor Strange and Hulk Vs are the best Marvel animated movies.
What kind of beast couldn't get along with a precious little girl like this?
