MCU managed to quickly add it in after finding out the direction the DCEU where going to be taking. The plot wasn't completely dropped, but i guess we watched two different films.

saw the UC and the film is so mature, so bloody with a lot of mature dialogue, it makes civil war look even more kiddie with the airport fight scene with lots of jokes. GO DC makes MCU look even more KIDDIE
Ahh the return of the thirteen year old. You gonna freak out when Justice League goes more Marvel? That thing's got BATMAN making jokes.
UC makes the movie flow better, but it still has all the same character problems as the theatrical cut.

There is no argument nor discussion possible. CW is way better without a "Ultimate Director's Gold Wank Edition", because it doesn't need one. It's not broken.

UC just asdds nonsense like a second girl bruce saves at the beginning, a few quick shots and a couple (VERY FEW) extended scenes with more information. None of it changes anything. Is Lois's story changed ONE WHIT by learning that the bomber went shopping and had a lead lined wheelchair? She never even TELLS Superman this AND HE'S HAVING A CHRISIS OF CONSCIENCE!! The bribed african lady literally interacts with one cast member (offscreen) befor getting brutally murdered, and the flippin' senator never brings it up again!!
You're telling me this nonsense actually redeems the movie? None of the new stuff changes anything. The pacing is better, that's the ONLY improvement.

Yes it does, as many people would agree. Little stuff like that add to the characters in those scenes, which contribute to character development. The little kids line during that beginning scene showed us more the impact of the Metropolis invasion on society trying to cope with a horrifying event. The stuff with Clark Kent that was added helped his character. Like when he calls his mom after the saving montage, the film makes you feel for him. When he goes to investigate about Batman, the scene with him crashing into the Batmobile and tell him to shut his light off of the sky makes A LOT more sense based on what he saw in Gotham. The UC not only makes it more coherent, but adds to characters and the themes.
