Hard to say, but I think you can't go wrong with Batman's rogue gallery.

Ahhh, yes. ANOTHER "Poison Ivy is Lez" (I think she is too!)
Anyhow, there's a article on cracked.com about TV kids shows that were pervy behind the scenes. they mentioned a leaked storyboard by the Rugrats animators featuring the dad planning to do nasty things to Angelica when she's older.(!) One writer responded :
I worked as a layout artist on the Care Bears movies back in the late 80s - they were done in Toronto. Trust me, EVERY animated cartoon studio has depraved cartoons about its characters on the walls somewhere. The more saccharine the characters are, the weirder the behind-the-scenes cartoons get. (The studio brass usually put a lot of distance between clients they're trying to schmooze and us rank-and-file animators.
A local magazine did a piece about these behind-the-scenes cartoons and mentioned a couple of mine directly. I felt honoured, but also a little miffed that they didn't hire me to illustrate the article.
Whaddya suppose Bruce Timm etc drew Harley and Ivy doing? 😉

This!! I love poison ivy so much she is so beautiful and has such a strikingly beautiful colour combo of red and green. I feel Harley is too overrated I prefer ivy. She could be vampy and do so much if only the creators would explore her character.

Yeah, Ivy is actually pretty cool. The only thing that put me off her for a while was Uma Thurman's version in Batman & Robin (other than Kill Bill I'm not much of a fan of Thurman anyway).

I think Poison Ivy was incredibly underused in TAS. And I liked her partnership with Harley - it was fun to see them paired up. As for Ivy's sexuality, I think she could be open to a bisexual relationship with the right woman.

I think Ivy's sexuality is secondary to the character. Number one in her world are her plants, so she'll do whatever it takes to save them.

Just have to say that Ivy and Harley were originally just friends. It seemed more like a big sister protecting a naive little sister with an abusive boyfriend. I liked their dynamic at first how she tried to take Harley under her wing. But, then for some reason it changed into something :pervy" with the comics and video games. Kind of how like now Harley's portrayed as a crazy, dumb "slut".
It annoys me how characters' relationships particularly women change into something sexual just to please a certain type of audience, if that makes sense. Another example would be how the comics changed Renee Montoya into a lesbian. I think it's important to show female friendship instead of rivalry like it's normally depicted. I don't understand why friendship b/w women in the media is usually sexualized. It's also important that strong female characters can be shown that aren't overtly sexualized, IMO. A woman can be a strong, independent cop without having to turn into a lesbian. Just a thought.
Again, this is just my opinion on some things

I agree, it's insanely sexist but most Harley and Ivy fans are women, so what gives?

Someone summed it up nicely in a letter to the Batman and Robin adventures comic :
"It seems obvious that poison Ivy has strong feelings for Harley. (Who has no idea Ivy feels this way about her.maybe Im reading too much into these things.."
The Ivy/Harley thing tells you more about Bruce Timm & Co's sense of humour than it does about LGBT couples and I also think the Montoya thing a bit of a cop out. they shoulda kept Montoya as a Strong female character and introduced a similar character who is gay instead.

I really like the character but I think this series portrayed her very well, she was hardly in Harley's shadow (if anything Harley came off as somewhat pathetic and Ivy trying to make her more independent).
