I don't find there is anything sophisticated about the show or how it's written. It' clearly dumbed down for a younger age bracket, without enough of that 2nd line of humor for adults that goes over the kids' heads. Spectacular Spider-man was more well written. I don't have an issue with breaking the fourth wall, but there is a fine line between well-written quips and just making Peter annoying.

"You don't like it because it doesn't take something that is inherently very light and silly as seriously as you'd like it. You call it childish because of that. But it isn't childish - it's sophisticated. The result of sophistication is to laugh somewhat at the kinds of silly things in comic stories that you and other fans would have the show take seriously"
it's not sophistication it's called being a major douchebag.
I think you have no idea the meaning of sophistication if you think that the result is to laugh at silly things. My un-sophisticated ass is laughing out loud at your silly comment

No,you have a wrong mindset, superhero cartoons and movies are not meant to be childish. The important thing is that we need to see more villains and learn more about our hero.In the 90s there was cheesiness in superhero movies, but the TDK trilogy brought the new trend into superhero movies, giving every movie a dark and gritty tone.

That is the problem it seems everyone thinks Deadpool is so awesome of a character. I have hated him since he was introduced to the comics. He needs to go back to being that character that showed up to be beaten down by Squirel Girl in Great Lakes Avengers again.

clap clap Someone else who can see through the Deadpool hype it's like those legions of overzealous fans haven't seen a Marvel character who breaks the fourth wall, cracks wise during combat or displays borderline cartoonish behavior.oh wait I can three characters who fit those descriptions.
She-Hulk: Was breaking the 4th wall way before that jabrony showed up.
Spider-Man: Don't need to explain this one.
Slapstick: His powers and personality are similar to a slapstick cartoon character hence the codename.

There is no such thing as "the
                forth
wall." I think you mean "
                fourth
" but I'm not sure. Have a nice day!

Yup She-Hulk was doing it way before Deapool supposedly made it cool. So yes whenever somebody says Spider-Man needs to stop stealing Deadpool's shtick I usually counter with Deadpool should stop stealing She-hulk's shtick and Slapstick's for that matter.

Oh common deadpool is way different than those two for one thing your acting like She-Hulk invented comediac fourth wall breaking well the truth is she didn't and she doesnt do it nearly as often or be as meta about it as deadpool is I mean have you ever read an issue where she hulk went out on a quest to kill the people who were writing her comic book well deadpool did and what is more he did it so well that it became famous almost intergral part of his character while with she hulk when they think about her they think about lawyer hulk lady not a fourth wall breaker.
And as for slapstick well the truth is there a major difference between slapsticks cartoonish cartoonish violence there is a major difference between his and deadpool as in slapstick just shows your basic pg cartoon violence while deadpool's array of extreme cartoon violence includes decapitation, eviceration, and impalment dont believe me take a good look at my very own custom avatar and tell me if slapstick ever did anything like that.
PS Slapstick also kind of does a looney toones shtick himself so hes not original but deadpool is for taking it to the extreme just like he does with breaking the fourth wall. And thats what makes him a badass.
PSS The writer of the cartoon Joe Kelly who is actually a critically aclaimed deadpool writer kind of admited that he did base some elements of spiderman of off deadpool with the episode Ultimate Deadpool where deadpool continuously reffered to spiderman copying deadpool in some way

Parker has always held a conversation with himself in the comics on a fairly steady basis. It's not a stretch to think that maybe he's just being overly eccentric and perceiving himself as his own audience. I think it kinda suits him.

I don't mind the fourth wall stuff so much - someone else posted that this is basically the internal dialogue that he has with himself that is kinda his trademark. The wise-cracking goes on out loud and in his head, and that's fine.
What I can't stand is the chibi-stuff that they do with the cutaways. It's a Japanese style of having chubby caricatures of what's going on representing the light side, but it's overdone in this case and annoying. Teen Titans did it constantly, and I feel that took away from the story. Bleach does it too, and it's really annoying.
It's almost like they dip into Super Hero Squad every time Spider-man thinks a thought. Ugh.
