Seriously does everyone go to Hell in this movie?

She didn't go to hell because she died, and God didn't send her there.
What happens in that scene is that Mamon was doing the exact thing Constantine did to her before in the bathtub. She was not dying or going to hell, she was being transported (or whatever it is they do) to hell like Constatine did before with the Cat as well.
I guess Mamon needed her to be there to get control of her. Notice that she goes back to hell with her clothes and she is not being tortured or anything, so like I said, just like with Constantine, all Mamon was doing was bringing her back to hell alive -

It seems you have to live a PERFECT life NOT to go to Hell.
The only two people who go to tell because of sin do so because they were suicides. John and Angela are "just visiting" when they go there aside from when John killed himself as a teenager.
Why did Angela go to hell in this movie? She was being drowned by Mamon against her will, why would God send her to Hell and not take her into Heaven?? What did she do so wrong?
Her soul probably wouldn't have ended up in Hell. As was mentioned, she was simply being teleported there the same way John does earlier in the movie.

You only go to heaven if you're baptized, haven't committed any mortal sins for which you haven't been absolved, and observe the sacrements.
If you're only semi-perfect, like a new born baby, you can go to purgatory, and other Catholics can pray you into heaven. You can also pay monks to pray your or someone's soul out of purgatory.
Or you can donate a lot of money to the Church, and they will write you a pass into heaven. (Plenary Indulgences)
A fascinating, if horribly corrupt, religion. -

Sorry, but you're wrong. This movie shows that if you're a good, selfless person, you can make it to Heaven. All the belief in the world couldn't save Constantine, he needed to do something truly good, hence why he only makes his way back into His good graces when he sacrifices himself to save Isabel's soul.
The real truth is (at least in my opinion), anyone can make it Heaven, regardless of which faith they belong to. Yes, being a Christian does help as you're already closer to God than everyone else, but that doesn't mean to say that Heaven is only exclusive to Christians, that teaching has been passed on by the Church in order to frighten people into converting, threatening them with Hell fire should they choose to remain ignorant to Christ's teachings. In actuality, Hell is only the destination of truly evil souls.
God hasn't forgotten any of us. Whatever we do, however bad things may seem, there is ALWAYS hope. He's always watching, ever present. No matter how many times we call on Him, He NEVER turns away. He does exist, and He loves us all Always remember that. Even if you can't see or feel him, He's there He's just playing it subtle. -

I'm talking about Catholic dogma, not one's personal beliefs although yours seem much nicer except for the "Christians are closer to god" part, which I think is rather ugly.
In the movie, Constantine primarily operates under the rules and rituals of the Catholic Churchnot generic Christianity.
If Catholic dogma is right and it holds that Christ made the Popes' laws the rules as of God's here on earth very few, and mostly rich, people are getting into heaven.
Just sayin'. Love this movie, and the tv show. -

I believe Catholicism is the true religion. The only problem is that it's terribly distorted, and yes, slightly corrupted by those deep within.
I think that Christians are closer to God because we believe in Jesus Christ, therefore we listen to His teachings more than those who don't believe in Him. I'm not saying by default we're closer to God, it's just that we're closer to the word of God, ergo closer to Him.
I also love this movie. I haven't seen the TV show yet (it's not available over here in the UK). -

In the absence of definitive proof of God, christ or that the bible is historically true then they are all just fairy tales. Buddhism has it correct, seek enlightenment and be truly good, you should not need a god or a devil to scare anyone into living a good life.

Do you even know the other religions? Have you compared them?
Believe in whatever you want, but cut that air of superiority. If you were a true Christian, you wouldn't be smug about it. Remember what pride is in your religion. -

Honestly, for a christian, that made a bit of sense (though that is not saying much) and was very accepting. I don't think he was being proud, but maybe I am wrong.
From what I understand if you don't accept Jesus and God you will never be accepted into heaven. Which means the billions of people grown up to worship Allah, Buddha, etc. would have no entry at all.
If I am not mistaken, from what this person is saying they COULD be accepted if they were just pure at heart. It really only makes sense that those who worship god would be closer to him. Maybe I didn't read it correctly and missed the pride, but it seemed like a more accepting attitude than most Catholics/Christians. -

I don't think she went to hell insomuch that since the Hell realm is fallen it would be easier to access psychically.
Also the devil doesn't seem to mind talented humans using it as a conduit to gain information.
