Feel free to go all Andrea Dworkin on me, but I was apprehensive about it as well. It's just the way comic books tend to handle female characters. They all look like Playboy Playmates and act like men. It's so obvious that like %80-90 of this stuff is written by men. But Carrie Kelley is a breath of fresh air. Easily one of my favorite aspects of the movie.

Back in 85, Batman comics were in a similar state to the time just before the Batman TV show. They may well have been cancelled eventually without Miller's monolithic work.

Your loss pal not ours, it's a fantastic film with great visuals and a stunning OST plus great voice work. The character of Carrie Kelly is well executed although probably would have benefitted from being written a couple of years older. Overall a brilliant adaptation of an iconic graphic novel that you won't see because of your own short-sightedness. and that's it.
