Probably an old ?, guys. Was Donner/Sulkands portraying Reeves as the Golden Age Superman or the Silver Age Superman? Or, are they essentially the same character?

It feels more late golden age to me. He wasn't Superboy, Clark and Lex were not childhood friends, there's no Legion of Superheroes, no mention of Kandor, and there's no superdogs, supercats, or superhorses. In addition to that, this Superman doesn't have any memory of his brief life on Krypton like his silver age counterpart does and only learns of his alien heritage as an adult, and as a result behaves more as a human than a Kryptonian.
Overall, Zod and the Phantom Zone are the only overtly silver age elements to appear in the first two movies until Supergirl came out. None of the other silver age villains such as Brainiac, Bizarro, and Metallo appear anywhere in 80s Superman series.
