If B&R had a been a Forever like hit there wouldn't have been a Dark Knight trilogy or DCEU or Gotham because there would'be been a fifth film that would perhaps end it all, five films is a lot.

B&R ended for me after 1997. And as campy as B&R is in my opinion it was WAY better than the Batman trilogy from 2005 and up.

That's a relief. I was afraid I was the only one who liked Batman & Robin better than what came later. I think those other movies just take themselves too damned seriously. And I can't take movies about a billionaire who dresses up like a humanoid bat to fight costumed criminals wearing clown make up or dressed up like scarecrows
        that
seriously. I believe Batman should be dark and edgy but also at the same time be fun and imaginative.

Nope, definitely not the only one and as matter of fact, I went to see the 2005 Batman movie and I actually fell asleep on it. Too long and not very interesting. Same can be said for the last 2 Batman movies. (Luckily, I didn't pay to go) but I feel like in this day in age of terrorism and killing innocent people in public places, the last thing I care to see are building being destroyed. And Batman has a lot of it in the 2005-2016 movies.
