Characters you wish had gotten more screentime…

Oh yeah, I was hoping to see more of her too. I certainly cheered when her and Batgirl first made their appearance in Season 2. I do love how they've given her fighting style a bit of personality, I mean you've got a host of superstrong characters but they all "feel" like they've been trained differently in using that power. Superman is more of a brutal get into the mix while Cassie has a more acrobatic approach though still different from the acrobatic skills demonstrated by the Bat family

Many of the females weren't used to their fullest potential; along with Wonder Girl, i think Zatanna and Batgirl went amiss as well. While decent characters like Beast Boy and others were also left out in the cold, as the series juggled so many other characters. I think the focus was also lacking to many of the other JLA members like Aquaman and Martian Manhunter who had members of young justice under their wing like Aqualad and Miss Martian especially. Who got some limelight in season 2 but mainly as characters caught up in an arc alongside others. Who even if they're using dialogue in a scene aren't really the main focus in an episode half of the time.
I think Captain Marvel was also sorely lacking in later stories and should've been one of Young Justice's main members given he is in fact really Billy Batson in actuality, and thus a young kid who is also like them who needed to be around his own peers. Although i loved the irony that he's in the League and considered an adult because of his adult appearance form as CM however.

I personally was just getting used to the final team at the end of season one so I would've liked some more Zatana.
Also more Beast Boy would've nice I think. He was heavy in the first few episodes and then fell completely into the background. I would've liked to have seen more Static as well, even though he wasn't on the team.

Wonder Girl.
With her eager and excitable personality, as well as her talented voice actress, she easily became my favorite team member in Season 2, and in all honesty, the only one I really care about. Batgirl and Robin 2.0 have pretty bland personalities; Lagoon Boy and Impulse are obnoxious ; and Bumblebee, Mal, and Beastboy aren't bad characters, but they just don't do anything for me; Blue Beetle used to fall into the previous category, but his venture into "Spotlight Stealing Squad" put him onto my list of hated characters in this show. Look, I understand that he'd be the most important member of the team with the Reach storyline, but I still find him having a speaking role in just about every episode while other members of the team are lucky to get a non-speaking appearance every five episodes or so to be unacceptable.
I'm not really sure if I even care if Wonder Girl gets a speaking role in the finale next week at this point. It's too little, too late. -

Wally. I hated the fact he only showed up in like 4 episodes. He was my favorite season 1 character so to see him get benched for new undeveloped characters that never became developed and more MM and SB drama I didn't even care for in season 1, was disappointing to say the least. If I could add a second character it would definitely be Nightwing. Dick barely got that much screen time in season 1, only to completely fall to the background in season 2 and to add insult to injury he was mostly only around to be the laughably oblivious and incompetent leader. Now that's just tragic. Can't really name any new characters I would've like to see more of because none of them were ever developed enough to care about them except for a paltry few like Blue Beetle and even Impulse who at least came with a back story. The bat family were bland and boring, what little we saw of Beast Boy to me was just really annoying and a far cry from the portrayal in Teen Titans which was fun and humorous, Lagoon Boy was insufferable and only existed to act as a romantic side block of the ended MM and SB romance, and Mal and Bumblebee were equally underdeveloped and bland which made their way too much focused on lovers tiff dubious.

Mal Duncan is apparently the same character as Herald in the penultimate episode of Teen Titans. He had the horn and used it to create portals. From that one episode I thought he was an interesting character with potential, I would have liked to see him in a series. But the Young Justice version had no powers and was whiny and creatively just didn't add anything to the series.

Wally. I hated the fact he only showed up in like 4 episodes.
The show made bad decisions to underutilise Wally like that. He is clearly the most interesting character this show has ever produced imo.
The Bart kid is Ok, but just doesn't fill wally shoes. -

As has been said, Wonder Girl
Dubbilex, who was I was shocked to get a film appearance of any kind at all
Alan Scott, who could've come out of retirement to help out with the other GL's away
And since they bothered to bring in Blue Devil

How the hell is Wally interesting in this show? he's a character that is entirely dependent on another (Artemis) for any relevance in the plot, and if you think about it he has always been since her introduction. People were pinning that on M'Gann back in the day but at least she did have multiple episodes in the first season that focused on her and her issues and had a clear arc of development. Wally had Coldhearted to himself, the rest of his role was to be a supporting player in the arcs of Artemis and Dick. He's never really had his OWN arc, barely had any development in ether season and generally has just been a weak character throughout, I am frankly puzzled by his popularity.

Maybe because his character was funny and provided much of the humor which made season 1 so popular. And I don't see how he was any more involved in Artemis' arc in season 1 than anyone else. Dick has also not really had a story arc. The reason people want more of him is because he was shortchanged in character development in exchange for Miss Martian and Superboy, and yet he is a lot more fun to watch then most of the members of the team, both new and old. Plus, he is a really popular character who has been benched from the new 52 dc comics and this cartoon was the only source for his fans so we wanted to see more of him.

I know he's popular from other things, I love Wally in the comics and I loved him in JLU but this version of the character is entirely seperate. I do not let my views of other versions of the character get into my views of this version. And he is objectively the weakest character of the original 6. And yes his role in the plot was mostly to help move along Artemis being open with others and to provide comic relief, thats all fun to watch but is it as compelling as Artemis's family drama? Or M'Gann's identity crisis? or even Dicks fear of becoming like Batman? Hell no it is not. Wally doesn't even have a compelling backstory to make up for his lack of a compelling role in the plot. He's fun on occasion but he's just too uninteresting and undeveloped for me to care much for him, I can let that slide more for some of the S2 cast since they were always meant and written to be supporting characters but to one of the leads of the smaller S1 team? Then we got a big problem. Hell Id even say Zatanna and Red Arrow had more development are were more interesting than him.
Unfortunately Superboy has fallen into a similar situation in S2 though not quite to the same extent, still other than War when was the last time he had a scene that was not in someway about Megan?
And its not like he's the only one on this show who is benched in the NDCU, hell that applies to the entire original cast save for Dick and Superboy. Which says a lot about DCs failure at cross marketing since characters like the new Aqualad and Miss Martian are way more recognizable now than they were before. -

Dick's entire fear of becoming Batman was limited to about a minute in one episode. That point has been never brought up again. If you call that an arc, then Wally's maturation in Coldhearted and the first Dr. Fate ep is also an arc. Both of those eps were among my favorites in season 1. Plus he's fun. Its like the Wally in JL/JLU. For majority of that show he didn't have any major plot arcs, but he was still a fan favorite because he added much needed levity to the show. Wally serves a similar function here. He may not be a driving force in the plot, but his personality is enjoyable. Take 'Summit' for example, I loved his entrance quip to Savage "Hey there Vandy! Did you miss me?". Its his humor and personality which I have missed, especially since Dick himself has been reduced to a much more serious character.

Wally did not really mature or even really learn much in the first Fate episode, that was really only in Coldhearted. Wally in JLU had focus episodes fairly regularly expect for the first 13 episodes of JLU and he was one of the characters at the center of the shows major arc. Again I really can't care less if a lead character is funny if they are not compelling and do not have depth. And you had Bart who is at least slightly more comeplling than Wally around for most of this season to fill the levity role, even if he was partilly faking it.

Well I guess to each his own. I can't stand Miss Martian, even though she's had the most character development. Also, like I pointed out, Dick has also had very little character development, and most people still love him despite of that. I like Wally because he has personality which makes the scenes he's in a lot more enjoyable.
